SCANDAL – “No Sun on the Horizon” – A well prepared Fitz gets thrown a curve ball during the first presidential debate, Olivia receives shocking news and is forced to make an extremely difficult decision, and the gladiators work with a powerful CEO accused of murder. Meanwhile, one dirty little secret could lead to deadly consequences, on ABC’s “Scandal,” THURSDAY, MARCH 13 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Eric McCandless)
This season of Scandal has not been very good. I mean, even tonight I found myself checking twitter and browsing the net at times. Also: I didn’t even watch last week’s episode until right before tonight’s episode aired. I know! Tonight I found myself thinking about Parenthood and whether Joel and Julia are going to be okay. That’s never really happened during Scandal. I don’t know, y’all. Even those last 30 seconds were just way too expected. It’s totally James, right? Because he got the big episode tonight and had that gorgeous scene with Cyrus and Cyrus told him he loved him. I mean, it’s totally James. Right? Which means that the person Jake was talking to in that awkwardly framed shot has to be David, right?

But. What if David is the one who got shot? I mean, that would be the worst because he’s the only good redeemable not terrible character left on the show. And he did have that littler sweet scene with Abby but it was nothing what James got. So, if David is the one who bites it then does that mean James is B613? Just a thought, but this it could be neither of them. Don’t forget that we actually saw Fitz get shot last season which closed out the episode. Scandal’s totally going for a freak out. Maybe Jake shot Quinn who was going to shoot one of the guys. Who the hell knows any more.
And you know what? I’m probably not going to be obsessing about it every minute for the next seven days. I think Scandal’s excitement has worn off and people are starting to see the show’s weaknesses.
Last year’s Defiance storyline was so good because it was believable and was kept small. There wasn’t too much to it other than Cyrus and company rigged the election to get Fitz elected. This season’s storyline, however, is so big and complex and messy and just what is even happening. I mean, it’s just all over the place and it seems like each episode has to have some big reveal that just ups the stakes even more.
What do the associates at Pope and Associates even do anymore? That’s my problem. The writers are trying to bring in everybody and it’s all just too much. I still will watch the show, but my days of obsessing over it are mostly over. Now I will sit in front of my television on Thursday night with my wine and enjoy the show, but I will stop applying logic. I think it will work.

Anyway, back to tonight’s episode. God gave us ten rules and Sally broke the worst one. Of course she’s not hearing God’s voice. Those commandments aren’t just suggestions, Sally! There are only 10 things we have to remember to not do and He is very adamant about those ten things! I’ve never killed a guy and even I don’t hear God talking to me every day. Sally’s losing it and talking about pigs and speaking in tongues and totally freaking out. Sally’s awesome.
Someone else totally freaking out was Cyrus. I love Cyrus for some reason, but man he’s just the worst. So now literally everyone on the show knows Sally killed her husband and the only thing that matters is that Cyrus doesn’t get found out. Lolz.
Basically this episode left me like kpgjpojefmmeg?>?FKEeogrk???? because I don’t even know anymore.
Next week Scandal does Dallas as we find out who Jake shot. Maybe.
