Belle’s American Hamburger – In the season 2 episode, “The Crocodile”, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) asks Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), “Have you ever had a hamburger?” It’s a unique, new dish that she’s become fond of after Ruby introduced her to it.
The Evil Queen Regina’s Baked Apples – We all know Regina (Lana Parrilla) has prized apples. But we promise these will be safe to eat and not start a sleeping curse. We love what Olivia Newton John did with her “Livvy’s Easy Baked Apples” recipe because it’s low calorie and looks delicious. Good Morning America has the incredibly easy recipe, which involves orange juice and some dried cranberries!
Emma Swan Cupcakes – Why not honor Emma (Jennifer Morrision) with her sweet last name? A swan is a gorgeous creature! (Although we heard they’re not so friendly in person…) Whether you have fondant swans on top, or use a stencil over frosting to create a swan shape out of sifted powder sugar, you’ll have a truly decadent treat. You can honor the Blue Fairy (Keegan Connor Tracy) and Pink Dreamy Fairy (Amy Acker) by also adding some edible fairy dust. (It’s colored sugar, in most cases.) We think the ones at Purple Heart look adorable in their bottles.
Heroic Henry Hoagies – Henry (Jared Gilmore) is young, but he’s never lacked courage. And as a growing boy, we bet he’d pile up a hoagie sandwich high! Pile lunch meats, cheeses and veggies on a fresh loaf of bread.
Rumplestiltskin’s Golden Greens – We all want more vegetables in our diet, whether for kids or ourselves. Why not serve a delicious salad? For this one, use your preferred lettuce type (we like a mix of Romaine and Arugula) and top with “golden” items. You can even create a salad toppings bar. We suggest the following items: golden raisins, sesame seeds, mandarin oranges, croutons, dried apricots, pecans, and walnuts. The golden glow will be wonderfully accented by a any vinaigrette salad dressing. You can easily make your own by combing a few simple ingredients. We like this About.com guide, and suggest trying a Balsamic or Raspberry flavor.
Fairytale Beanstalks – Emma and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) climbed one, so why not…eat one? Prepare asparagus in any way you like! We love it bundled together, wrapped in a slice of bacon, and baked in the oven.
Which item here do you think would be the biggest party pleaser? Do you have your own idea to add? Let us know in the comments!
