A new show that’ll be on FX is ARCHER, and even though I don’t always like “hip, adult cartoons” this cartoon is actually something I suspect I’ll enjoy watching. Archer premieres on FX January 14th, 2010 @ 10 pm ET/PT.

The character of Archer is being described with the tagline: “One part secret agent and one part ladies man.” Wait, isn’t that James Bond? Well, did Bond have a creepy Mom with the voice of Jessica Walter? Didn’t think so.

The voices behind the cartoon include the familiar-and-sexy sounding  Jon Benjamin, Jessica Walter, Aisha Tyler, Chris Parnell (who is taking me to Narnia, no big deal), and the amazing-fantastic-I-adore-her Judy Greer.

Set at ISIS, an international spy agency where global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other, “Archer” features the voices of Jon Benjamin as suave master spy Sterling Archer, whose less-than-masculine code name is “Duchess”; Jessica Walter as Malory, his domineering mother and boss; Aisha Tyler as his ex-girlfriend Agent Lana Kane; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lana’s new love interest Cyril Figgis; and Judy Greer as Malory’s lovesick secretary Cheryl.
