Winona Ryder Gives an Endearing TV Interview After 6 Year Hiatus
| January 11, 2011 at 2:39 PM ESTWinona Ryder made her first TV interview appearance in 6 years last night when she went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
While she did appear a tiny bit stiff and nervous, her intelligent and witty demeanor also broke through quite often. Hearing her talk about iPhones and the Internet? Total hilariousness. It makes you want to hug her. She said (in all seriousness), “I have this fear that I’m going to be googling what …movie is playing at what theater, and then I’m suddenly going to be a member of Al Qaeda!” That takes me back to one of my earliest AOL experiences where I once unplugged the phone line from the modem at night because I was afraid I would be tracked down by the weird pervs in chat rooms which I was endlessly harassing.
The second video clip shows the pair playing “Total Iceholes” which neither Ryder or Fallon were very accomplished at. The start of the clip shows Ryder as pretty nervous (understandably, that game intimidates me) but she loosens up eventually. Can you tell I’m cheering for her?
