A person on imdb.com wrote that on Twitter there was some talk about several good sketches being cut, because she had trouble remembering the lines. Looking back on the episode, it would make alot of sense if they have cut a couple of sketches:
Kristen Wiig as the news reporter lasted for an unusual long period of time and the guest band got to play an extra song, which is rare as far as I am aware of.

I don’t think January Jones was prepared – why, I don’t know..

January Jones was awful on SNL. I’d agree that she may have been one of the worst hosts I’ve ever seen on the show. When her monologue was dominated by three of the regular cast members I knew that was a bad sign and an indicator of their lack of faith in her abilities.

The only part I thought she handled well was the pre-recorded 50’s educational video skit which makes me think she’s a terrible live actress but given enough takes and editing she can pass.

@S: It seems that you can only refute an already recognized and corrected error (Emmy vs Golden Globe). I suppose you must agree Jones was terrible.

I was in pain while watching this. Such a let down after the amazing Taylor Swift. Usually SNL has at least a couple funny scenes but literally the only time I laughed was during the digital short (which she wasn’t in!) Plus I had no clue who she was and out of everyone I talked to, only one person did know who she was.

I really wasn’t intending to be as upset as Bob seems to be earlier, but the fact remains that Jessica wrote “Emmy-WINNING” previously, so it doesn’t appear to be just an award name error there…the point here is to always fact check with IMDB or another resource beforehand!

Jones was so missable in those movies I laugh when people mention them.

Golden Globe-nominated. It’s still a huge honor. You can debate the details or stop complaining.

Props for using the word “numbskull” but no points awarded for pointing out something that was already pointed out. The award name was mis-typed, it’s not as though we said she was a natural redhead who was married to Brad Pitt in 1999. The facts aren’t THAT off base.
