Take a free tip from our pop culture penny jar: check out The LXD: Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. It’s available to watch on Hulu, and its’ innovation will knock at that part of your brain where you remember that creativity is ever-evolving (and always accessible) in each of us. (If it brings up childhood dreams of wanting to be a ballerina, that’s okay, too! Who doesn’t look rockin’ in a tiara and tutu?)

And if that somehow doesn’t get your attention – can we mention that the dancers are all hotties with wicked dance movies? We liked episodes 1 and 2, but episode 3 has us feeling the burn of true addiction.

The people involved with The LXD include some names you might be familiar with already (unless you’re already a fan – then you might know them all.) The writer/director is Jon M. Chu (Step Up, Step Up 3-D) and the cast includes Lil’ C (So You Think You Can Dance) and Harry Shum Jr. (Glee.)

Described as, “the world’s first online dance adventure” The LXD presents  dancing like you don’t normally witness even from the best movies and TV shows. Where you expect to find CGI, there is none. This is a purist’s dream. All of the choreography and stunts are amazingly authentic.

Join in uncovering the mystery of seemingly ordinary people who discover they have powers in this groundbreaking mythology about hope, greed, love and the force that moves us all.

The LXD is broken into chapters – each unveiling characters called to fulfill their destiny and join the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers – showcasing the dancers’ unbelievable flips, spins and twists that have made this web series one of the most highly anticipated and eagerly watched ever launched.

We’re also going to mention that Ellen Degeneres loves these guys, which is a good indication of this for a cool-o-meter (if you don’t trust OURS.) And, 50% of the sales from the official LXD t-shirt go to support  the very worthy non-profit organization Invisible Children. And why not buy the shirt? Wear it proudly and dare people to ask you what The LXD is – then explain that it’s the coolest thing that they’re not yet watching.

For Veronica Mars fans, we know you support Invisible Children, but that’s not the only reason to watch. Ryan Hansen is in the first episode of The LXD, proving why he’s an amazing comic actor, and this generation’s less annoying version of Jim Carrey. Plus, we spotted Veronica Mars, herself (Kristen Bell) at the premiere party for The LXD. Fandoms are colliding! (And we love it.)

New episodes of The LXD go live, Wednesdays on Hulu. Here is what you’ve missed so far:

The LXD Episode 1: The Tale of Trever Drift

The LXD Episode 2: AntiGravity Heroes

The LXD Episode 3: Robot Lovestory (There is some especially excellent narration in the beginning here. This is my favorite episode, to date.)

The cast of The LXD:

* Harry Shum, Jr.: Elliot Hoo
* Christopher Scott: Copeland
* Daniel “Cloud” Campos: Illister
* Luis “Luigi” Rosado: Trevor Drift
* Aja George: Stereo
* Terence Dickson: Minijack

We cannot seem to find the name of the set decorator but major, major love goes to who did that.
