The type of coffee that you prefer might say a lot about who you are.
Today the Doctor Oz show presented this idea on the show:
This concept was based on my research, which included observation, work done in other countries and even a survey of over 1,000 coffee drinkers. The survey assessed numerous common personality styles and traits including: introversion/extraversion, patience, perfectionism, warmth, vigilance, sensitivity and social boldness among others.
The article was written by Ramani Durvasula, PhD. She is Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Professor of Psychology, and Author of You Are WHY You Eat: Change Your Food Attitude, Change Your Life.
Below is a summary of the findings:
What does my coffee choice say about me?
Black Coffee Drinkers – You’re probably a patient person, and always right down to business. You’re zen, efficient, and don’t deal with time wasters. You’re probably a bit abrupt, and stubborn.
Black Coffee with Sugar – You want a bit of sweetness in life. But you won’t give yourself quite enough comfort! (Editor’s Note: This is my category.)
Latte Drinkers – This is also for those who who like cream and sugar in their coffee. These types are likely people pleasers. You want to help others, and you’re a great friend. But don’t forget about caring for yourself. You could stand to be more self-centered
Frozen Blended Frou Frou Drinkers – Hello, trendsetter! You’re a creative and open-minded individual! And you’re probably very youthful and spirited. Be careful that you aren’t being reckless with your choices.
Decaf/Soy Milk Drinkers – You are an organized, rigid person. You’re great with control. But you might not be great at teamwork. You are probably a perfectionist.
Instant Coffee – You’re traditional but you are also kind of lazy. Are you a procrastinator? Not great with plans? Probably.
No Coffee – You’re rebellious, maybe. You think in a new way, and are imaginative. You don’t follow trends. You also might just hate the taste of coffee.
So, is your coffee drink accurate for who you are?
