We Heartily Agree w/ the Golden Globes 2010 TV Nominations
| December 15, 2009 at 10:31 AM ESTI have the big ol’ list of Golden Globes nominations, and I’m going to post the nominations for all TV categories. A lot of good TV shows found a “prize” in their “cereal boxes” this morning. …Does that metaphor work or sound dumb? ANYWAY. To find out who wins you can watch he 67th Golden Globes show on Sunday, January 17th. Ricky Gervais will be hosting it, so it should be a good time.
The “Best Television Series- Drama” doesn’t have any surprises, although I personally don’t think that True Blood belongs there. I just can’t seem to really sink my teeth (no pun, I swear) into that show. But I know that it’s very popular and lots of you guys DO like it. So…shrugs. “Best Performance by an actor in a TV show – drama” is going to be a tough pick, because I could easily see any of the nominees deserving to win. “Best TV series comedy or musicals” is going to be another tough win because everything is so good. I’m fairly certain Glee will win, but there are three other nominees in that category which are all really solid choices (Entourage can go away) …
A lot of these categories have some really decent selections, which is unlike other award shows where sometimes I’ll have NO ONE to root for in several categories (that’s the problem with nominating “new” shows – sometimes they all suck). It’s honesty hard for me to really pick even here, because there are at least two people (or shows) in every category that I am torn between. This is a lot of good TV. If you see something you haven’t watched, you may want to seriously look into developing a new TV obsession. Don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe and healthy.
