Who knew that by keeping vampires in the dark we were also suppressing their sense of humor? In True Blood season 4, “I’m Alive and on Fire” Eric Northman is drunk on fairy blood, able to be in the sun, and decides to fight sea monsters. Let’s take a closer look at the funniest scene in this episode. (It’s definitely worth a re-watch.)
So, Eric Northman did what any drunk vampire would do, he ran off and pretended he as a Lost Boy (maybe he’s a Corey Feldman fan.) Sookie had Alcide come wolf out to track him down, and it brought them to a pond (Lake?) Eric erupted up from the bottom of the water like a playful otter to say, “Hey Sookie! Where ya been? Come, come play with me, it’s wonderful here!” He told her he was a God of the sea and she was his sea goddess. Sookie wasn’t having that though, trying to remind him that, “There’s big gators in there, you crazy viking. Get out and let’s go home before one of them chops off your you know what.” But as she tells him this, Eric is still blissfully swimming around, happy as a…well, a very active clam.
Eric’s plan is that he’ll just “Kill all the sea monsters.” He calls for the gators to show themselves, splashing the water as he calls them cowards.
I mean. Have you ever? Funniest scene…ever! Tell me you loved it as much as I did. Right?
