Tiffany Maher and George Lawrence II danced in the Contemporary style on So You Think You Can Dance Season 9 for the Top 20. We have the youtube video for you to watch!
Choreographer: Sonya Tayeh
Music: “Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last
Dance analysis: For a moment I thought this was a dance about tortured love, but no… it was not about torture. I think it was a dance about struggling with falling in, and being in, love. And it’s about people who really want to be in love. The song is seriously lovely, I’ll have to listen to it again. I loved that the costumes and background were all in flesh tones, which gave it a realistic, raw, and sensual vibe to the overall performance. It was as though they truly were emotionally naked (yes, I know that’s cheesy!)
- Nigel said: He loved Tiffany’s vulnerability.
- Mary Murphy said: I’m breathless.
- Kenny Ortega said: He praised Sonya.
