It’s no secret that fans of ‘The Walking Dead’ are disappointed by last night’s newest episode, titled “Still.” But we need to come to a consensus as to why the episode was such a let down for so many.

There are a few reasons that the episode has been met with dislike. First off, the episode featured only two characters the entire time. Most of the highest ranking episodes feature several title characters, which is especially needed when all of our characters are spread out so far from each other. Additionally, if we were only going to get Daryl and Beth…could their interactions at least be satisfying instead of lackluster? Forget about some fan’s wishes for the pair to have romantic chemistry…could they at least be entertaining in their dynamic? As I pointed out in my The Walking Dead Review of “Still”, it was unpleasant to feel how Daryl felt towards Beth for 90% of the episode. And Beth came across so young and naive, unwilling to step up to the plate to fend for herself the way she said she would. All in all, it wasn’t a fun time.
