Did you see how Terisa Griffin actually scared Julio Cesar Castillo during their Latin battle on The Voice season 3?
For Team Blake’s first battle tonight, Blake Shelton paired together Julio Cesar Castillo and Terisa Griffin.
Who are they, again?
Julio Cesar Castillo is a mariachi singer, and because his father has epilepsy he wants to help support his family. Cee Lo and Blake both wanted him.
Teresa Griffin is a 42-year-old spitfire. When she sang Adele in the blind auditions, Christina and Blake both turned for her. And she ended up giving Blake a little slap before picking him.

The song is Conga! For this song, Blake decided he needed a strong female diva and a singer who could work with something Latin.
Castillo and Griffin struggling with how fast the lyrics were coming.
Mentor Michael Buble said the song was all about breath control. He added, “No one in the history ever knew the words.”
When Terisa met with her coach and mentor, she accused Blake of pairing her with Julio to get rid of her. But Blake said it would be a good battle.

Cee Lo Green said he enjoyed it and it was “cool.” He loved Terisa’s enthusiasm.
Adam Levine said it was odd, but worked. He also noticed that Terisa was so fierce she seemed to scare Julio sometimes. But he said that ultimately he’d pick Julio.
Blake thought both had done awesome. Because he seemed to have put the most work into it, Julio won the battle.
