As you guys know, I only mention a performance from The Sing Off if it really impresses me. Tonight (so far) there’s been one group that did make sit up and take notice. Thank you, Dartmouth Aires!

The Dartmouth Aires performed “Animal” by Neon Trees on The Sing Off tonight. Here’s what the judges thought:

Shawn Stockman: “From the start you guys have shown that you guys are actual, really true performers.” He loved the energy, and the plaid pants.

Ben Folds: “Shawn’s right, the energy was over the top.” He loved the tight basses and said it was really good and the guys rocked in.

Sara Bareilles: “I thought that was awesome.” She loved how cohesive they were, and said they were fantastic.
