After filming their dramas and extravagant ways for the world to see, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills then reluctantly get together for a reunion special on Bravo, hosted by Andy Cohen. Suddenly, stuff gets very real.

These reunion shows are the perfect platform for the women to confront each other, and they are encouraged to do so. This is the reason that the reunion shows are often the most juicy and action-packed. One of the startling revelations I’ve had about the reunion shows is that a lot of new tension and drama is created just by Cohen asking certain questions. While before there was no problem, suddenly the women have a new reason to point fingers. Which is why a lot goes down, and why there’s usually two hour-long parts to a reunion show. This time, there’ll be three.

The first hour of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 2 reunion special aired last night. It was best watched while having a cocktail or three.

One of the most interesting things was that typically low-key Adrienne Maloof was involved in a lot of drama with Lisa Vanderpump. She was annoyed with Lisa for insulting her (ugly!) shoes, for selling stories to Radar Online (doubtful that she sells them, but she probably has given them some stories), and for not having Pandora’s Bachelorette party at her place in Vegas. Meanwhile, Lisa was annoyed that Adrienne continued to employ Bernie the chef who was openly talking badly about Lisa.

What Taylor Armstrong Said about Russell on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion

Kyle Richards and Lisa also had a bit of an issue in terms of how things were said, and low blows exchanged (Lisa said Kyle was desperate for attention, Kyle had allegedly said Lisa preyed on weak people – then accidentally admitted that Lisa is manipulative)… basically, they were all sour about the other one talking badly about them. If you watched the show, you probably agreed with their insights on each other.

Taylor was a trooper (or exploitative – depending on your view of this) and willing to talk about Russell’s abuse and his suicide. (More on this in another post.)

In lighter news, Lisa said that Pandora’s wedding wasn’t a million dollars. They once again played the clip of ridiculous wedding planner Kevin Lee saying, “Beverly Hills baby, chi chi chi chi chi.” How is this not part of some internet meme yet? Every time I see that I laugh. And if you laughed at seeing Lisa wearing a tiara at her daughter’s wedding, that was also addressed. Kyle conceded that it wasn’t something you saw often, but it worked for Lisa. Adrienne was less diplomatic and acidly said, “once a princess, always a princess.”

Kim Richards was not there, and it was stated she was in rehab. Brandi Glanville showed up, but the juicy stuff with her is being held for part 2 of the reunion special. Can’t wait to see you guys here next Tuesday so we can talk about that!
