What about New Amsterdam? It was the only show that won and emmy and was cancelled in the middle of its first season. AMAZING SHOW!

I particularly agree on the Bryan Fuller TV shows. In regards to K&K, I have only ever seen the Australian version, which I enjoyed.

Where is Carnivale? It was cancelled after two seasons, when it was planned for 6.

I completely agree with a few of the shows you picked (Samantha Who?, Joan of Arcadia, and Veronica Mars- we definitely need a VM movie). There’s a few shows that I wish had lasted a bit longer: Popular and Reunion. I just hate how some shows just don’t really get a fair chance and end up getting canceled way too soon while other crappy shows last for years.

Jessica – Alot of it was interesting as in “May you live in interesting times.” I had fun, but I also stayed away from the really nutty people I knew. What made me laugh about the show was the clothes. I can’t believe I used to dress like that. What was I thinking?

The show really did capture a certain exuberance and seriousness of the times. This was after Watergate, Vietnam, and double digit inflation.

Emily – I will never give up on a Veronica Mars movie and I don’t think Kristen Bell will, either

Matt – Oooh, yes – I do love Community a whole heck of a lot. It’s a great show. McHale is just…awesome. SWOONS.

Peg – I remember watching some episodes of Swingtown and wondering if there was really much truth to that. Surprised to hear there was, Peg! Seems like an interesting time to have been around. I would have liked to see more of that show.

I loved Swingtown which was a summer show. Having been a young adult (20s) during the time the show was set I got a real kick out of it. I knew people like that and saw very similar situations.

I really enjoyed Kath & Kim, but I think I got a bigger kick out of the guys on the show than the ladies though they weren’t bad either. I was both surprised and disappointed when that didn’t get renewed. However, I am digging its Thurs night replacement with Community so I can’t complain too much.
