If you were wondering where you might see The Mentalist on cable: the victor has emerged! It’s TNT. They’ll begin syndicating the show in 2012. “The Mentalist is a terrific show that will be an ideal fit for TNT’s already strong lineup,” said Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks. Apparently people were vying to get a hold of the show shortly after it debuted. Ken Werner, president, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution said, “…the demand for the off-network rights began almost immediately following its debut on CBS last fall and has steadily increased as the show blossomed into a true broadcast hit.”
The Mentalist is a show that I think looks REALLY good but I do not have time for in my current TV schedule. It’s a show I hope to catch up on via DVD during a time when repeats are running. So if you haven’t gotten on board with The Mentalist yet, you’re so very much not alone. But there’s so much reason to want to watch! The series was the #1 new program of 2008-2009 tv season and even won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite New Drama. Plus it has Simon Baker and Robin Tunney as this sexy duo of intelligence and uh, sexiness.
Feeling so far behind that you have no clue what The Mentalist is about? Well, don’t take my word for it. Rely on Wikipedia like any other normal person!
