Matthew Perry had a truly commanding presence on Sundays episode of The Good Wife. But will we see him again?

We were introduced to Matthew Perry on The Good Wife this Sunday when he played Mike Kresteva in the episode “Blue Ribbon Panel.” Kresteva is in charge of the panel that Alicia Florrick finds herself a part of, and they are investigating a police shooting.

Instead of agreeing and nodding, Alicia challenges what the panel is doing. This makes waves. And Kresteva is the one who keeps warning her that she’s in deep water. But we all know that she can tread there for a while, and she actually manages to accomplish quite a bit. (Which later turns unfortunate for her husband.)

“Race is here. And you want to kick that hornets nest?” – Mike Kresteva, The Good Wife

The character that Perry plays was mufti-layered. Kresteva was a jerk pretending to be nice. He supported blatant injustice and ignorance with a smile on his face. He was powerful, confidence, and kind of a jackass.

Best of all, we’ll likely see Perry on The Good Wife again. The character made that promise to Alicia. “I’ll see you again, Mrs. Florrick,” he said with the echo of a threat around the edges. We can’t wait for that day to come.
