In the 2013 finale of The Following season 1, plenty of action went down. And one of these actions included seeing Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) apparently dying in a fire. Dental records even confirmed it. But…c’mon. Do you think he’s really dead? (Or do you think Kevin Williamson did kill him off, but wants us to be constantly paranoid about when he’ll show up again?)

His cult could still do damage, even if he was dead. So, what do you think? Did The Following final episode put to rest one of the leads?
