| July 15, 2009 at 12:59 AM EDT

Two acts really stood out tonight on “America’s Got Talent.” The first was a 9 year-old guitar player named Tallan Noble Latz who is just incredibly talented. There is video after the jump of him playing in Memphis with Jonathon Long & The Baton Rouge Soul Explosion at BB King’s Blues Club. Apparently the group […]

The show is about an ex-lawyer named Jeff (Joel McHale from E!’s […]

VIDEO: ‘America’s Got Talent’: Acrodunk and Grandma Lee rock

| July 9, 2009 at 12:30 AM EDT

NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” sure had a crapload of mediocre singers tonight. I didn’t love the Texas Tenors, Eleisha Miller or Timez 2. Really the only worthwhile acts were Acrodunk (who has weirdly been on “America’s Got Talent” before), Grandma Lee, the 75 year-old comedian, and Barbara Padilla, an opera singer and cancer survivor (for […]

‘Great American Road Trip’: Bye-bye Katzenbergs!

| July 8, 2009 at 12:49 AM EDT

Tonight on the  “Great American Road Trip,” I have some severe flashbacks to the Amazing Race Season That Shall Not Be Named. Yikes. We kick things off at Wrigley Field, which is right next door to my apartment. The Pollards are from Alabama and like guns, apparently. Shocker. The Ricos are the Mexican Griswolds. The […]
