Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 8 – They’re expanding as a family!

1. SMALL NOTE - Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner watch The Bachelor together. This was shocking because they named a show on a network that isn’t E!
2. SPEAKING OF E! – They suggested that people on twitter use the hashtag of #Kards. Not #KeepingUp or #Kardashians or anything else. Just “Kards.” Because America can’t spell more than 5 letters in a row.
3. HOME ALONE – Bruce got his own house to function as a “man cave.” This worried everyone else in the family that a divorce was coming. Can you say SCRIPTED DRAMA? Naturally, Kris missed Bruce and she intruded and called him home.
4. BACKDOOR KNOCKING - Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick decided their premiere storyline would be about backdoor shenanigans. Oh, and don’t worry, of COURSE there were props! Vegetables and even Peachy-O’s candy were used. When Kourtney said she’d agree to the action only if Scott did it first, she smartly shut down that conversation. (But, not before she put on an unusual black accessory and galloped around the house.) Surprisingly, we also learned that Rob Kardashian is fine with being open about sex, but Khloe Kardashian is the more normal sibling who doesn’t want to discuss sexual positions with her male sibling and brother-in-law.
5. POOR KIM – Kim Kardashian is rich and beautiful, but she just wants the world to know that she’s got it real hard. She is still married to another man, Kris Humphries, and her new mansion won’t be babyproofed in time. Woe. (The house has so many problems, the pool and hot tub are not in the ideal spot so they’re going to move the entire thing. Poor Kimye.)
6. NEW FACES – Brandon Jenner, Leah Felder and Brody Jenner will all be featured this season. Which means even less for Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, probs. My instant thought at really seeing Lea is that I bet Kim gets insecure and jealous around this sweet, thin, blonde girl. (Ain’t nothing wrong with curves, but we all tend to be insecure around people who are the opposite of us and pulling it off. That’s why I am always wishing I was a brunette!) Oh, and Rob Kardashian’s weight loss story will be a slight focus this season, which at least gives him something to do other than that embarrassing sock line. (LORDY.)

Gotta Edit That List

There’s no DVR stocked up – so catching up on a week worth’s of TV is going to be tough. That means it’s a  prime time to let go of shows I’ve been hanging onto for a bit – like 666 Park Avenue (NBC), Arrow (The CW.)

On the other hand, I realize how attached I am to certain new shows like Nashville (ABC.) I really hated missing Nashville this week!

In A New Light

Surviving a severe storm has made me re-evaluate certain TV shows I’ve been watching.  I’d already been on-the-fence about Revolution (NBC) but in living in a world without power I have no sympathy for these bratty characters who don’t even have zombies to deal with. Life without power is tough, but Revolution can’t scare me anymore. Plus, who wants to watch what you’ve already kind of lived?

This brings me to The Walking Dead. There, they don’t just have a world without power in my cases – but full of freakin’ zombies! After being so cold, I only have more respect for what my beloved characters must have endured during the winter. I’m a bit skeptical that they all would have survived the winter… eh. But I love the show more than ever, and am delighted to announce that I’ll be interviewing Lauren Cohan (Maggie) next week.

(And yes, I also watch TWD for tips on how to kill a zombie in case that becomes a reality…)

Campaign Ads and Phone Calls Won’t Get an Audience From Me Anymore

I’m not sure how many people will be able to get to vote on election day if they’re without gas, or flooded. I am lucky that I will be able to. But there’s no chance of me or anyone else having their swing vote changed when they can’t see any of the campaign ads. (Truth be told, I have known how I am voting for a long time, but there is someone in my family I was hoping might be swayed.) And when I left my residence, I also left the phone that kept ringing to ask me to answer survey questions about how I was voting. In fact, I usually took the two minutes to help them out an be courteous on the phone. But now, cold and tired, I usually just hang up after a curt reply. That’s not like me, I have a well of patience stored up for those instances! I prize politeness next to Godliness, really. (And that reminds me, don’t get me started on how angry and scary drivers are right now.)

(Admittedly, this issue does not affect a daily future of TV watching, but it does potentially affect the future in a long term way.)

Hey Jealousy (Which is the title of a great Gin Blossoms song.) Aka: I Hate the Kardashians Even More, Now

Now that I have surrendered to the cold and checked into one of the only hotel rooms available in the area (and I am not sure if I can even get another one should I need it past tonight) I have been enjoying the heat, the free wi fi (hello 94 new e-mails in my inbox) and the TV. I even get Showtime here (although I have spent most of my time watching the Food Network show me how fun it is to put stuff in mason jars – as if I didn’t already know!). But this also means that I was made aware of what was going on in NJ and NY. One thing I don’t have to deal with is floods, and my residence is still in tact. Not everyone can say that.

So, as I have re-immersed myself into the world of technology again – hitting up Twitter and everything… I see how many people are not only just going on with their lives, but how many really don’t care to be at all informed about what is happening in the North East.

Much as I am grateful for so many that hasn’t gone wrong for me and my loved ones, I have been brought near tears about others. And then the angry red monster of jealousy surfaced, and it brought along its friend – anger. I’m so jealous of people who lost power, but just for one night. Or not at all. Or lost it for even two or three days but at least have it now. I’m jealous of people who haven’t had any interruptions in their life because of this hurricane. And hey, I know it’s not their fault. It’s just the luck of the draw. But I’m still jealous. I can’t even find socks. Let alone clean socks. And do you know  what sucks more than not having TV or internet? Being cold.  Being cold is the worst. Of course, not having hot water, seeing your pets cold and confused, and not being able to see anything to even spend time cleaning or organizing… none of these are good things. But I’m lucky when I see what others are dealing with. Again, I know this.

It didn’t help that the first thing I learned about when I got online was that Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian were trending on Twitter because of their Halloween costumes. Meanwhile, not only was Halloween canceled up here, but I didn’t even register it was Halloween.

(I still mostly like Khloe Kardashian, though.)

Normalcy and Role Models

Something I have to mention is that after I’ve watched some news, I put on these Food Network or USA Network shows… just to relax into feeling like things are normal and seeing some familiar faces. Ian Somerhalder certainly helped ease the pain last night on The Vampire Diaries. (Which I lucky was able to muster up the energy to review!)

Seeing certain TV characters have even served as inspiration for me to weather all this. In the first two nights when I was cold but could tolerate writing letters and reading by flashlight/candlelight I pretended I was a heroine in Downton Abbey like Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery). In fact, I affected a British accent as I wrote to my Grandmother. (It didn’t take a storm to prompt me to do this – I love to write to her. I love stationary. I love her!)

When I think about what would happen if it was a zombie apocalypse I draw up strength and a sense of endurance fro Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar on Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah Walker on Chuck) and Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner on Alias.) They’re resilient and people can rely on them.

Seeing and/or relating to these characters helps in times of uncertainty.

In fact, because I had about one hour of battery time on my laptop, I had to decide what I’d want to use it for. What did I decide? I decided I wanted to be cheered up by the New Girl (Fox) gang! I approached many WW_D scenarios… What Would Zooey Deschanel, Jess Day,  Jake Johnson, Nick Miller, Hannah Simone, Cece, Max Greenfield, Schmidt, Winston, Lamorne Morris…do? I love the characters and the actors on that show. And they really are a rag tag group that would help bring you spirits up, you know?

I decided that in the spirit of Zooey Deschanel or Jess Day, I’d make up songs to sing to my cats whilst pretending my life was a musical, to look at Cute Overload to calm down, and drift off to sleep dreaming about how cute Zachary Levi is. (Also, Scott Michael Foster from Greek.)

The season finale of Kourtney and Kim Take New York airs tonight on E. The episode title is, “Goodbye, New York.” The previous episode left on a cliffhanger about what would happen now that Kim Kardashian had admitted she no longer wanted to be married to Kris Humphries. Of course, we all (seriously, everyone) know that they got divorced just 72 days after they said their vows.

The synopsis for the episode is short and silly, “As the couples time in New York draws to a close, Kim makes a decision about her marriage.” Gee, we wonder what the decision was. What’s more interesting will be to see how much “reality” about this vulnerable time period they’ll show in the episode.

However, there does seem to be more hope for Kourtney Kardashian and her boyfriend, Scott Disick. While he was once one of the reality TV stars we loved to hate, he’s grown up a lot and his humor has helped transform him into a likeable guy. Which sounds bogus, but is absolutely true. So even though Kim and Kris didn’t get stronger, this season has seen Kourtney and Scott grow closer. Which is nice, because they have a son (Mason) together. Or is it two, now? It’s pretty hard to keep up with these Kardashians, you know?

Kim Kardashian was the co-host on Live with Kelly today, and naturally she opened up about her divorce. Not that you have forgotten, but she got divorced from Kris Humphries after 72 days.

Rumors have circled that the wedding was merely a business deal and publicity stunt. (There’s also that pesky “you shot this scene in New York and then said it happened in Dubai” tidbit.) Many have asked how on earth a marriage that lasts just 72 days could have ever been entered into with realistic intent. It is also noted that Kardashian profited extensively from the ordeal. She refutes that but saying if it was a business deal she would have kept the marriage going longer. But is that true?

She follows up that statement by saying she also didn’t seem to think people would care so about it when she ended it. But they did. In responding to the controversy of her marriage she said, “I didn’t think following my heart would create this much backlash.”

For those watching the ordeal unfold on (the heavily edited) Kourtney and Kim Take New York, it seemed like Kim’s heart was never in her marriage. She was all but okay to let her newly wed husband live in a different state, until Khloe Kardashian confronted her about how it wasn’t normal.

Once Humphries was living in New York with Kim, he hardly needed a bad edit to show what a jerk he must be with to live alongside. He has since come out on the record as saying everything, including his proposal, was scripted. What the viewers saw was not Kim Kardashian trying to make her marriage work so much as just trying to power through to some unseen goal.

The question that’s harder to figure out is if she was trying to power through after making a terrible mistake of marrying him in all serious, or in knowing she only had to stay married for a certain amount of time until he could drop him. (And when he treated her so poorly, it makes sense that she wanted to end the marriage even sooner. And why he thought he could treat his newlywed so badly without repercussions. Maybe he was just shrugging and thinking, “We have a contract, bitch!”)

Kardashian told Kelly Ripa, “I definitely tried everything I felt like I could. I want babies. I want forever love. I just felt like, you know, if I feel in my heart that this isn’t right, then why wait years to have the same result?”

There was perhaps one spark of substance in what she said on Live with Kelly when she stated, “I really learned that I just need to rewrite my fairytale.” For a girl who has now lived the “perfect” wedding, does this mean she’s ready to now stop following the rules of what she expects to happen?

In “Voices From Beyond” Kim Kardashian is going to connect with a medium, but doesn’t want to tell her husband Kris Humphries about it because, “it’s so personal.” As this is the season finale of the show, will we see any of the Kris/Kim divorce split? Watch to see. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick also star.

RumorFix.com obtained documents that show that Robert Kardashian signed legal divorce papers in 1999 that stated he had four biological children. Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Rob Kardashian.

The site also points out that just as Robert Kardashian used “fraud” as his reason for divorce, so is Kris Humphries in his divorce to Kim Kardashian. Ouch. But you’ve been watching Kourtney and Kim Take New York, right? Then we don’t have to tell you how much of a jerk Kris Humphries was to Kim during their short marriage.

Khloe Kardashian Not Really a Kardashian?

Scandal has hit the Kardashian family plenty of times. It’s hard to believe that even if Khloe was revealed not to be a Kardashian that it would rock the Kardashian name so much that they’d lose their power and appeal. In fact, if anything it’d probably only help them gain more press than they’re already getting.

Khloe Kardashian has taken to Twitter to respond to the allegations that she’s not her father’s daughter, and not a “real Kardashian.”

The idea that Khloe has only one person in mind for who revealed this bit of info is quite unusual. Because anyone could make this up, and two people are being credited as sources to tar magazine. (Both Jan Ashley and Ellen Kardashian.) For Khloe to be singling one person out seems to put weight behind the claim, that someone personally knew that Khloe had a different father and wanted to out it. Do you think there is truth to this claim that she’s got different DNA than her sisters?

Even though this family has played the media before (Kim and Kris Humphries, ahem) Khloe has always been the one we trust most. It’s awful someone would put this out there about her. (Although, yes, she’s a reality TV star and that does mean the public has reason to feel they deserve to know so much about her.) Since she’s joked about this before, her extreme sensitivity and defensive attitude now makes us very curious about the truth. What do you believe? And is this fair game to talk about since she’s a reality TV personality?

Kourtney and Kim Take New York “Cats Away Mice Play” Summary: Kourtney and Kim travel to Mystic, Conn., to relax, while Kris and Scott go to Toronto and get into major trouble.

Scott Disick has actually become the most likeable, entertaining “character” on this show. But it looks like that’s all about to stop. As for Kris Humphries, he has never seemed likeable via this show.

We think that at least Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are still providing a bit of a reason to watch the show. There’s Scott and his wanting to be more Jewish, and his random Piano purchase. And Kourtney tries to redecorate Scott’s parents house, and goes on a pretty obviously scripted coupon binge (hello, it was already established she hates hoarders.)

The drama between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries hasn’t been entertaining so much as annoying. Don’t get us wrong – we don’t hate Kim. But we hate Kim with Kris. She’s unhappy and it shows. The couple is incredibly irritating to watch together.

When will Kim and Khloe Kardashian make up already on the show, anyway? We suspect Kim had a hard time talking to her happily married sister during this time when her own marriage was so rocky and unpleasant.

Meanwhile, Scott Disick is thinking about getting more into Judaism (surprise: he’s Jewish!), while Kourtney Kardashian thinks he’s just crazy.

On After Lately there’s books, golf, and nudity. It all starts at 10 pm ET/PT on E!.

On Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kim Kardashian decides to go off birth control. Kris Humphries has to respond to that. Meanwhile, Kris Jenner is in NYC to tape an episode of the Today Show. And she starts a new friendship with Scott, of all people.

People are watching the show to dissect what they can about Kim Kardashian and her marriage to Kris Humphries. And there’s plenty to check on. We’ve seen that Kim is a control + neat freak, and Kris is a playfully aggressive guy who doesn’t follow rules. A marriage counselor could have told these two not to get married and saved us all a lot of time. When this episode started, Kim and Kris were living in different cities and didn’t think it was weird. It was a month into their marriage. They’d never discussed where they were going to live, and neither seemed to think it was wrong for them to be a part (until Khloe Kardashian told Kim it was indeed very weird.)

During the episode we heard Kim mention that Kris was, “Like a big kid.” She also deadpanned to the camera that she was, “so excited to see him.” She’s a bad actress.

When the “lovebirds” were reunited, they spent their time trading insults about bad driving and body odor. Kim had come with an ultimatum about needing Kris to move back to NYC for her, insisting on compromise. But she would not compromise in considering to stay in Minnesota ever (where Kris trains and where his family is) or to ever move there to raise children. Again, these are big dealbreaker questions you generally tackle before getting married.

In the end, Kim cried and convinced Kris to come back to NYC with her. They both value their careers so much that they don’t want to sacrifice anything to make their marriage work. But in this case, Kris Humphries did. Kim Kardashian took a weekend trip to guilt trip her husband and will say that was her trying. But it’s pretty obvious that she is used to people folding and giving her what she wants.

Khloe had arrived to NYC in a pink fedora and managed to counsel both sisters. She did manage to help open Kourtney’s eyes and Kourtney and Scott made some progress. By shining a light on some stuff for Kim, all Khloe did was piss her sister off. But not at first, only when Kim realized she had to do things like take a trip out to Minnesota and miss a Hamptons weekend.

When Khloe and Kourtney woke Kim up to say goodbye, Kim was in a horrible mood and bitched out Khloe. Then she called Kourtney to complain. Then she e-mailed Khloe a vicious e-mail. All for unknowingly waking her up an hour before he alarm. It seemed like Kim was just pissed about her relationship and taking it out on Khloe, but this got taken to another level.

Kourtney was faced with the idea of either committing to Scott (as a boyfriend) or cutting him loose. In watching episodes it shows that she really loves being a Mom to Mason. But she’s not interested in having much of a love life. As for why she re-committed to him at the end of the episode it seemed to be a reaction to realizing that without Scott, Mason wouldn’t grow up seeing two loving parents. But, they’re all playful and all want it to work so maybe it will.

We’ll sidebar to mention that Kourtney thinks she’s being helpful when she visits Scott’s parents house and starts reorganizing all of their stuff, deciding which stuff is so hideous and dated it needs to be thrown out. “I’ll buy you a new one,” she would say. And she had a very big problem with anything not perfect – a trash can with a dent in it? Throw it out and get a new one! “I’m being helpful,” Kourtney said. Also on Kourtney’s list of no-no’s is having an old-fashioned box TV. Maybe Kourtney needs to take a tour of Middle America for a wake-up call. She and Kim are tied for being the most spoiled Kardashian’s. Geez.

Two great hairstyles in this episode: Kim’s fishtail braid in Minnesota, and Khloe’s braid used as a hippie headband.

Remember guys, it’s Kourtney and Kim Take New York and not Kim and Kourtney take New York.

This week on the E! series about the omnipresent Kardashian Klan (sic), Khloe Kardashian pays a visit to NY to help out with Kim and Kourtney’s man problems. We already know how this worked out for Kim (divorce.) But we still must suffer through viewing Kris leaving for Minnesota and Kim following him there to beg him to come back to New York.

When Khloe and Kourt try to interact with Kim, she gets inexorably riled up after being woken up an hour before her alarm was set to rouse her. Deciding not try and fall back asleep, she calls her sisters to (quite literally) bitch them out. “I wanted that extra hour of sleep!” Kim drones on as the other sisters start to realize Kim Kardashian is no longer the same girl she used to be.

Meanwhile, Khloe tries to make sense of Kourtney and Scott. It’s a double Kardashian intervention, or something. Check out Kourtney and Kim Take New York Season 2 if suffer from insomnia.

4 Reasons Not to Hate the Kardashians

Family - The Kardashian’s place a real importance on family and the family unit. You might think this is no big deal, but in America of  2011, the idea of families being close is not as popular as it once was. Even if they fight, they always make up.

Style - They’re what some consider style icons. And they have their own lines of fashion, jewelry and even perfume. (Ambition isn’t a bad thing to emulate.) And, much like with Paris Hilton, you can hate the socialite but still recognize good style.

Body Types – The three sisters are all pretty slim, but there’s a bit of variation. People cite Kim and Khloe as inspirations for women with more curves than the average celebrity in the spotlight.

Mom Issues -Like so many of us, the sisters have Mom issues. No matter how much money you have, you can’t buy your wa out of that! It’s nice to see universal truths represented.

Meanwhile Kourtney found out that Scott had been in yet another bar fight, and Kim was “shocked” that W Magazine had produced some provocative pictures of her. You’ll recall the November issue of W Magazine that had an image of Kim Kardashian with the words “It’s all about me / I mean you / I mean me.” Nude with silver paint, we’re not entirely sure how shocked she’s allowed to realistically be, given that she’s already posed nude for Playboy.

And yet, then again – if you see Kim’s reaction in the videos below, we all know she’s not that good of an actress. She was actually surprised and very upset. Somehow, we end up on her side, every time.

But let’s not forget that Kayne West was also in the episode!

The theme song from Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami (I’m in Miami Trick by LMFAO) seems to have been altered for Kourtney and Kim (I’m in the big city, bitch!) The Kourtney and Kim Take New York City theme song is basically the same. I wonder if soon the Kardashians’ will be in every city and have an appropriately altered theme song for their airport arrivals. (“I’m in Dallas, bitch!” “I’m in Scranton, bitch!” “I’m in Sarah Palins’ Alaskan country, bitch!”)

Kourtney wants to work on the third, new DASH store, be with baby Mason and reconcile with Scott. That’s a lot to do, right? Meanwhile, Kim wants to bond with Kourtney (citing how close they were as children) and find romance. On Kim’s SND aka Single Night Debut, Kourtney has no idea how important it is to be with her sister. Uh oh. Of course, some of this seems pretty obviously staged so that the two sisters have something interesting right off the bat. Kourtney likely knows she should stay, but wants to leave and knows it’s better for the show if she leaves.

The one problem with this series is that while Kim is the most famous of the three sisters, she’s also the one with the least outgoing personality. In this premiere episode you see how old-fashioned Kim is about dating. She refuses to ask for a guys number she wants, or to be the one to call him first. (Hello, you’re the famous one – you can’t expect guys not to be afraid to approach you without getting tasered.) Still, I’ve always related to Kim’s shy ways so it’s hard to judge her too harshly. Kim is also shy about telling Kourtney she wishes Scott would stay in his own room (which far too quickly becomes vacated.) He’s manipulative, and you can see him doing this already. He’s glad to be in NYC and he’s mastered the art of reverse psychology. When he suggests to Kourtney he leave and go back to his room, he knows he’s baiting her to tell him to stay. (If he’d ask to stay, she’d tell him to go. We humans aren’t that complicated. At least, the Kardashians’ aren’t.)

Holly Madison (The Girls Next Door, Holly’s World) – Although her spin-off didn’t have much success, Holly has gained tons of fans, perks and exposure with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt as Hef’s girlfriends. And Holly? She was HBIC! (Head bitch in charge.)

Sharon Osbourne (The Osbournes, Osbournes Reloaded, The X Factor, America’s Got Talent,  The Sharon Osbourne Show, The Talk, Rock of Love: Charm School) – The MTV show chronicling her families life was only the first step on her path to reality TV hijinks. She’s become known for her compassionate ways for animals and her no-nonsense attitude towards bullshit.

Kelly Osbourne (The Osbournes, Dancing with the Stars, Fashion Police with Joan Rivers) – Her music career never really took off past her debut album Shut Up!, but that hasn’t stopped her from being in the spotlight. Broadway, TV shows, presenting gigs, a line of shoes, a clothing line, the face of campaigns, modeling, columnist, author and activist….this girl has been damn busy. Despite all of the acting, singing and everything else, she is still best known as being the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne. Without that first reality TV show, she might not have had quite as much success in the States.

Jessica Simpson – (The Newlyweds, The Price of Beauty) Both of these shows re-launched her career. Despite having a serious talent in her voice, people mostly enjoyed her looking like an idiot and talking about tuna.

Rachel Zoe (The Rachel Zoe Project) – While she’s not lovable to all, her talent and wild personality (she dies and goes bananas for everything) is undeniable. Don’t you wish you could have her dress you for an event?

Tim Gunn – (Project Runway) He’s more likable than any of the Project Runway judges, and probably smarter to boot. He’s wise, he’s never catty, and he has impeccable levels of taste.

Jay Manuel (America’s Next Top Model) – Tyra Banks, Andre Leon Talley and Mrs. J tend to annoy us as much as they please us, but Jay Manuel has risen above them all as a wonderful talent. He has a critical eye, but is always supportive.

Paula Abdul (American Idol) – Speaking of AI, what about Paula Abdul? She was re-introduced to legions of fans on this hit reality TV series.

Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian – (Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York) – Seeing their wacky behaviors turned these rich socialites into real people with “real” problems. (Trying to find a place to rent a monkey for your Mom experiencing empty nest syndrome doesn’t exactly translate into a “real” problem for most of us, of course.)

Bret Michaels (Rock of Love, The Apprentice) – You knew Poison songs already, but these two reality shows put him back in the limelight. He became such a fan favorite that he was one of the names rumored to become a new American Idol judge.

Have they split up? According to Kourtney, nu uh!

It’s ridiculous,” Kardashian said Saturday in Las Vegas at a party for her swimwear line, Beach Bunny Swimwear. “All the [rumors] you just have to laugh at.”

Well, I’ve seen the show enough that I’m wondering why in the world she hasn’t left Scott. And the rumors? They’re mostly created after people see them on the show. I think anyone else would leave him. She’s a sweet, beautiful girl. She doesn’t deserve to be treated the way he treats her.

But in fact, the pair are in counseling to work on their relationship.

“I think [counseling] is really important and we always love going and feel so much better after,” she said. “I think everyone should go. People are like, ‘It’s so expensive and this or that,’ but that’s more important than buying clothes or a handbag or shoes. It’s your life.”

I want to root for Kourtney. And counseling is a great, healthy choice. But in wanting to root for Kourt, this means I do not want to root for their relationship. I know that sounds terrible (blah blah), but Scott seems awful. And he certainly acts awful on the show, in magazines, and basically everywhere his presence is known. (Maybe he’s a really wonderful sleeper.) He’s an  addiction she needs to break!  Like me and sunflower seeds (apparently they’re NOT as healthy for you as I’d thought.)

Anyway, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott are still together. Probably forever. And I’ll keep eating sunflower seeds. We’re all doomed.

These sisters are crazy in that uncomfortably awkward and "poor you" kind of way, except that they're super rich. So, screw them.

If Kim Kardashian had her way Penelope Cruz would be playing her in a movie of her life. Because Cruz is OBVS the most logical choice for her. (In a picture to picture comparison on Kim’s site, they have a really ugly picture of Penelope up, which I think is hysterical.)  Sisters Khloe and Kourtney both said they would see Kim as played by JLO. I think even that isn’t fair to Jenifer Lopez.

In casting, Khloe sees herself as married to Denzel Washington (for Lamar). Kris Jenner is seen as Meg Ryan? WTFrak! I can’t understand any of their choices, and the only movie I see being made here is some sort of 90′s Lifetime one where Tori Spelling plays all of the parts.

For Khloe: Kim picked Liv Tyler for Khloe and Kourtney picked Mandy Moore, but Kloe see’s Drew Barrymore in the role.

For Lamar: Khloe picked Denzel Washington, but Kim see’s Gary Coleman as the best one to fill his big shoes.

For “momager” Kris: Sharon Stone, Meg Ryan and Katherine Zeta Jones would be sent the script.

For Scott: The 3 sisters we’re all in agreement that Christian Bale from “American Psycho” should play Kourtney’s baby daddy Scott. We see a definite resemblance there.

For a Sunday night in August, there sure are a lot of new shows on tonight. The first big one is the new “Big Brother” episode at 8 pm/7pm central on CBS, which will probably feature the antics of the last few days. The second is the season three premiere of “Mad Men” on AMC 10 pm/9 pm central. The third is “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” on E!, which should get some decent ratings now that Kourtney has announced her pregnancy by Scott Disick. More suggestions after the jump.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick

Kourtney Kardashian, of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” on E!,  has confirmed that ex-boyfriend Scott Disick is the father of her baby. She just announced she was pregnant yesterday but waited until she was on NBC’s “The Today Show” to confirm the identity of the baby daddy. She said that Disick is her ex-boyfriend… who is now her boyfriend.

Kourtney also told E! that she found out she was pregnant just as shooting wrapped for “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” season 1, her new reality show with her sister Khloe Kardashian debuting on E! this coming Sunday, August 16th. “I found out I was pregnant [at the end of shooting]. We were in the Everglades, and I kept feeling nauseous and sick. I just kept thinking something wasn’t feeling right. … Literally, I took like 20 tests. I went to the doctor and he confirmed the news. I was just so shocked.”

Kourtney Kardashian, one of the stars of E! network show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and new show “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami,” has confirmed that she is pregnant.

So far Kourtney is keeping the father’s identity and how far along she is in the pregnancy to herself. She also will not say whether she is back together with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. I wonder what this will mean for “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami,” which debuts Sunday, August 16th on E!

Kourtney, 30, is the eldest daughter of Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Her full siblings include Kim, Khloe and Robert Kardashian Jr., her step-dad is Bruce Jenner, her half-siblings are Kendall and Kylie Jenner and her step-siblings are Brandon, Casey and Brody Jenner (of “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills”).
