Gossip Girl Fashion Guide for Season 4 Episode 6 ‘Easy J’

What did you think of the Gossip Girl fashion in the episode “Easy J”? I love when Serena goes boho, but hate when she starts dressing like she’s on Dynasty (we’ve already done that, Blake!) Blair was a little underwhelming, although tasteful. And Jenny? Jenny was okay.

You can click the image to enlarge it. As you can see, Serena wore some great Stephen Dweck jewelry and Brian Atwood shoes, but then channeled a dominatrix with that black Maxime Simeons top. Also in black was Jenny in a Pucci dress with Dolce Vita pumps and cuff by Low Luv. Blair paired a classic Tiffany & Co. bag with a Victoria Beckham dress and Noir cuff for one outfit, and a Marc Jacobs top with an Alice and Olivia skirt in another. Which look here do you think you would most like to copy?

Gossip Girl ‘Easy J’ Serves up Taylor Momsen in a Classy Dress (No, really)

I’m not sure how happy Gossip Girl fans are to see Taylor Momsen back on the scene at Jenny, but I’m personally happy to see Tim Gunn and (to a lesser degree) Ivanka Trump guest starring in this Monday’s episode, titled “Easy J.” I’ve already said I’m not a fan of Ivanka’s ill-structured dress in this episode, but what of Jenny’s? It’s certainly more tasteful than most of the things we see ego-centric Momsen wearing off-camera…

While it’s not my style, and the black tights with the dark lips and dark eye makeup really seem like overkill, I think this is a step-up for both Momsen and Little J.

Of course, it doesn’t help that while Tim Gunn is smiling graciously, Jenny Humphrey (who raced to get to this opportunity) is doing her best “I’m bored and better than you” impression that has been stuck on her face for the past couple of seasons…

Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode written by Jake Coburn (Gossip Girl season 4 episode 6).

The teaser video for Gossip Girl “Little J” tells us that, “S is for shame, C is for co-eds, and B is about to get blindsided by a little J. Gossip Girl all new Monday October 25 on The CW.” I’m a little confused, does SCBJ spell anything? I feel like I should shift uncomfortably, like cheerleaders who can’t spell are being really enthusiastic.

And I’m not going to be the one to mention that Ivanka Trump is in a really unflattering dress. …I’m sure you figured that out already.
