It’s Christmas time in Bluebell once again – though if Zoe’s shorts have anything to say about it, Christmas feels a bit like July 4th in Alabama. Darn that Global Warming! And what’s a Hart of Dixie Christmas without a little romantic drama? Or in this case, ALL the romantic drama.

I think we’ve learned there is always a reason for a random event in Bluebell. And the random event on this week’s Hart of Dixie seems awfully familiar if you were a fan of a certain show on The WB. Hey look… a basket! Perhaps that basket was bid on in some sort of town auction??

It’s election day in Bluebell and living in the adorably quirky little bubble that they do, the townsfolk aren’t worried about Obama or Romney. All that matters is who will be mayor: Lavon Hayes or Ruby Jeffries. Of course, with all the love drama, it’s amazing anyone remembered to vote. 

This year’s Halloween episode of Hart of Dixie, “Walkin’ After Midnight” only had two storylines, and as much as I’ve grown a bit tired of the love triangle bit, the focus was nice and tight, and real progress was made in what could have been a throwaway holiday-themed hour.
