| July 15, 2009 at 11:44 PM EST

Tonight on “America’s Got Talent,” there was a number of good acts: Rashida Jolley played “Killing Me Softly” on the harp and also sang, it was awesome. Destined 2 Be was an extremely entertaining dance crew. Anthony and Matt were a weirdly entertaining duo where Matt played the guitar and sang and Anthony tap danced. […]

‘America’s Got Talent’: Tallan Noble Latz and Spiritual Harmonizers

| July 15, 2009 at 12:59 AM EST

Two acts really stood out tonight on “America’s Got Talent.” The first was a 9 year-old guitar player named Tallan Noble Latz who is just incredibly talented. There is video after the jump of him playing in Memphis with Jonathon Long & The Baton Rouge Soul Explosion at BB King’s Blues Club. Apparently the group […]

| July 9, 2009 at 10:13 AM EST

We’ve got video of some of the performances last night from NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” in case you missed it the first time around. The first is the cancer-survivor-opera-singing-mom Barbara Padilla, who closed the show last night. She sings a recognizable Italian aria called “O Mio Babino, Caro.” THe second one is the 75 year-old […]

VIDEO: ‘America’s Got Talent’: Acrodunk and Grandma Lee rock

| July 9, 2009 at 12:30 AM EST

NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” sure had a crapload of mediocre singers tonight. I didn’t love the Texas Tenors, Eleisha Miller or Timez 2. Really the only worthwhile acts were Acrodunk (who has weirdly been on “America’s Got Talent” before), Grandma Lee, the 75 year-old comedian, and Barbara Padilla, an opera singer and cancer survivor (for […]

| July 8, 2009 at 10:30 AM EST

Last night on “America’s Got Talent,” the two stand-out acts were singers. One was a teen girl named Bri and one was a man named Lawrence Beaman. Both were excellent, I can’t wait to see what they do next. Video of both their performances is below. If you’d like to read my full recap, check […]
