Last night’s SYTYCD 2011 had a first in the history of the show. A decision that has had fans talking all night…. but we will get to that in a minute.

The opening Sonya Tayeh group number was creepy as always. I enjoy when the group numbers are so well danced by all that it becomes difficult to distinguish who is who.

Alright, let’s just get to the results…

Bottom 3 Couples:

Jordan & Tadd
Clarice & Jess
Miranda & Robert
Also – Mitchell because he was injured and could not perform last night.

Just want to say, I’m mad that I edited out my picks for bottom 3 in my recap of Wednesday’s show because I had 2 of these three couples picked. Miranda and Robert because they were the weakest performance of the bunch and Clarice & Jess because I have a sneaking suspicion a lot of people have the same reaction to Jess as I do. I was a little more surprised to see Jordan & Tadd because I think they did a a solid job last night, but someone has to be in the bottom 3, right? (My third couple was Ashley & Chris just because I don’t think their routine held up as well as some of the others.)

All 7 dancers did their solos, and if I had to choose, the 2 dancers that would be going home would be Clarice and Robert. Clarice just did not connect with me and I don’t think Robert really “danced for his life” more than just entertained his adoring “woo” fans. Apparently, it was a little more difficult for the judges because they made Robert and Mitchell dance ANOTHER solo. Again, I still pick Robert to go.

Apparently feeling a little crazy, Nigel went ahead and made an executive decision….(Not before driving Cat COMPLETELY insane first): No one is going home tonight. At all. Not a one. Sooo there is that. Next week 4 dancers will get the boot. Cut throat!

This is what I’ve been hearing about it from the fans:

Positive: We get all 20 dancers again next week.

Negative: It felt a bit anti-climatic.

So what did you think? I’m kind of torn on it. If they couldn’t cut even 2 this week, how are they going to cut 4 next week??
