Simon Cowell Called Ellen DeGeneres a Sadist

Our favorite moment of American Idol last night was when there were four contestants on the stage, and Ellen (in large, important-looking glasses) was telling who to step forward. But she didn’t stop at just that. She would have someone step forward and then back. And then step a little to the side. And then step forward and quickly back, then forward again. It was funny. And in the end, all four of them were through. Simon, seemingly impressed by Ellen’s wit, remarked jokingly that she was a “sadist”. Ellen’s fun adds a lot to American Idol. But that was just one moment. What was your favorite moment from last night?

Hi Jessica! I loved Ellen’s comic relief last night as well. It wasn’t too much but just what we needed for her to be in contrast with Simon. I’m happy we have moved on from audition cities and now can concentrate on the good singers. My fav as of now is Andrew Garcia who redid Paula’s song. He has a lot of promise.

Ellen is definitely the best new addition to AI:) They couldn’t have picked on anyone better! I did like that guy who redid Paula’s song! Also that young African American girl with a guitar and her name was like …Heady? I forget. She was AMAZING.

What does Ellen DeGeneres have in common with a car mechanic and a bar tender?
Answer….Neither one is qualified to be a judge in a singing competition. I know money talks but in this case, money talks nonsense. I just lost respect for the whole American Idol show. You sold your soul to the devil.

So a woman who worked her way up from obscurity from one stage to another with years of experience in the industry, is not as qualified to judge talent as a man who’s credits are: producing albums for teletubies, Il Divo and founded Westlife? Simon is the least qualified to find break out stars coming into American Idol out of the other four judges. It is evident by the fact that out of the millions of people who audition over the course of 8 seasons Kelly Clarkson is the only real success. Simon can’t find stars, people just like to watch him make fun of other people for some sadistic reason.
