X Factor 2013 Episode 8 Recap: The Top 4 Girls Announced| October 3, 2013 at 11:47 PM EST
The X Factor 2013 Four Chair Challenge continued Thursday night and it was time to pick up with Demi and the girls. Last night when we left off, her chairs were all filled, but there were still six acts to perform.
So let’s get to it.
Simone Torres. Her performance of “A Change is Going To Come” was a little all over the place and the arrangement was ridiculous. She’s a great singer, but the performance was not good. Demi gives her a seat and decides to cut Bree Randall to make room for Simone.
Danielle Geimer. I guess I’m just not a fan of the girls this season because I’m not loving anyone tonight. I think she looks awkward on stage and could really use a new look (which I’m sure Demi would provide). And that song was just too much for her. But Demi decides to keep her. She switches her for Simone.
Rylie Brown. Well I actually liked Rylie’s version of “Angels,” which means Demi probably won’t and she’ll get cut. I thought it was emotional and the vocals were better than the first two. And yes I was right. Demi cuts her.
Primrose Martin. I think she might be crazy. Or at least that was what she was going for with her performance. Or maybe this was a joke. I’m not sure which. Whatever the issue was, it was awful. Awful. Awful. And then she was protesting the decision that hadn’t even happened yet. Demi cuts her as she should have.
Rion Page. So refreshing. Not only can she sing but compared to the last girl, she’s got class. And a presence. Her performance was everything it needed to be. She was connected, powerful, emotional. She was an obvious choice to take a seat. So who got cut so she could? Demi sends Ashly Williams. Horrible decision.
Ellona Santiago. She’s one of the few actual ready-to-go girls. I mean she’s ready for her own concert and album. She’d need little work from Demi. She’s clearly going to be a standout though out the whole season. Demi would be crazy to cut her. And then she almost does. She actually tells her she’s lacking star quality. And here I thought she was the ONLY one who actually had star quality. This is why I never liked Demi last season. She always does the opposite of what she should do. And only because the audience and Simon made her, she decides to keep Ellona. She switches her out for Jamie.
So there’s your Top 4 girls. Do you think Demi made the right decisions? If not, who should have made it through?
