The Voice Introduces ‘Battle Rounds 2′ This Week| March 31, 2014 at 8:00 AM EST
The “Battle Rounds” are dead. Long live the “Battle Rounds 2!” Instead of the usual Knockout Rounds where team members would face off against other team’s members this week we’ll get… wait, that’s exactly what we’re getting.
For whatever reason NBC is not calling the upcoming inter-team duet duels “Knockouts” but instead a second round of “Battles.” That’s fine. The former was a little confusing on its terminology since they’re all just elimination rounds.
This week the Coaches will put their singers up against another Coaches’ where both artists will have to agree on a song, work with Chris Martin, and then “consciously couple” in the ring where just one of them will win to move on.
No worries though because yet another round of Steals are heaped on top when each Coach gets one more chance to save an eliminated singer. Altogether that offers up twelve eliminated singers back in the competition so far this season.
The show starts tonight at 8PM ET/PT on NBC and we’ll have your results here during the show.
