The Voice 2014 Battle Rounds Part 2 Recap: A Short Night Of Tall Talent| March 18, 2014 at 10:59 PM EDT
The Voice 2014 Battle Rounds continued Tuesday night and it was a really short night, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some standouts and steals.
Let’s take a look back at the the Battle Rounds from the second night.
Clarissa Serna vs. Jeremy Briggs, “Cold As Ice.” I don’t like this pairing because they’re both fantastic performers. They were both two of my favorites during the Blind Auditions, so I was not happy with the fact that one of them could be going home. I think they are both equal on this battle, but I think I prefer Jeremy just a little bit more.
My winner: Jeremy
Shakira’s Winner: Clarissa
The Steal: Not used. Jeremy’s out. HORRIBLE mistake. What a let down.
Caleb Elder vs. Delvin Choice, “The Man.” OK, terrible, terrible song choice. Why would anyone pick this song for a Battle Round song? It’s not a sing-song. Dumb, Adam. I don’t even know what to say about it. It was boring and weird and just there.
My winner: Caleb
Adam’s winner: Delvin
The Steal: Not used. Caleb goes home
And then we get a click montage of three battles:
Team Blake’s Megan Ruger vs. Ria Eaton. Winner: Megan
Team Shakira’s Lindsay Pagano vs. Ddendyl: Winner: Ddendyl
Team Usher’s Morgan Wallan vs. The Brothers Walker. Winner: Morgan
Brittnee Camelle vs Melissa Jimenez, “Give It To Me Right.” This was a good battle and a good pairing. They both have fantastic voices and are both very solid performers overall. Melissa had a bit of a sexy edge over Brittnee, though. She was just really connected to the mood of the song.
My winner: Melissa
Usher’s winner: Melissa
The Steal: Shakira and Adam go in for the steal. Brittnee goes with Team Adam.
