When we heard Sarah Michelle Gellar would have a TV comeback, this is not anywhere near what we’d hoped for.

In the Ringer season 1 finale Bridget (as Siobhan) says “Everyone deserves a second chance, right?”

But the answer is “no.” Ringer should not be renewed for a season 2.

This convoluted TV series has had a disappointing season, making even the most hardcore of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans dismiss it. With sloppy, improbable (though oddly predictable) plots, cheesy episode titles (taken from equally cheesy lines of dialogue) the series stumbled here and there, not making us of its guest stars (Jason Dohring) and only making us fans of SarahMichelle Gellar’s hairstyles. (Even the clothing made us cringe.)

We definitely never want to hear the name Botaway again. (The show introduced the same opening premise prefix  in just about every single episode! There was almost no point for a pilot.)

But we do hope to see Zooey Deutch again soon!

Has Ringer been canceled? Has Ringer been renewed? Not right now.

Do you think Ringer deserves a season 2?
