Power can do a lot of things, but Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) doesn’t need anything more than himself to deliver his quippy one-liners. (Although in “Power” he did have fun yellow boat shoes, which probably cost a pretty penny at J Crew…)

Revenge “Power” Review

The Young Boss

Daniel’s become greedy for power, and I like this direction for him because it feels natural for him. And he doesn’t just want wealth and power, he also wants to surpass his father. Which is another direction that feels natural for him, and I understand. Well, not personally. I mean, I actually love my Dad. But I understand that lots of people have complicated relationships with one or both of their parents.

Revenge Fashion

We don’t see Emily Thorne in red nearly enough, although this season has been bringing more of it into her wardrobe. I loved her diamond halo drop earrings with the red, belted dress she wore as her first outfit for the episode. Later, she wore a very stately green dress with her hair up and large drop earrings. I may be reading too much into this, but I feel like during the course of Emily’s path she has been wearing more saturated colors instead of only white’s. And I think it indicates her growing power and confidence, perhaps. At the end of the episode she was sporting Veronica Lake hair, which was very nice.

Porter Pas de Deux

Is anyone too interested in this Porter drug scandal? Snooooore. Well… this this does afford me he chance to say I love how Charlotte makes breakfast for dinner for Declan. Not that I say the woman has to be the cook. But I like that she (of the house with a live-in chef) even knows how.

In the Air Tonight

Emily and Daniel fans must have been enjoying this episode for the rekindling of that romance. And while I don’t know whether I like them or not, I did enjoy the relationship chess that Emily and Aiden put into motion. The fake fight at lunch was so much fun, that I had as big a smile as Emily did when she walked away after her distressed break-up performance.

Misc. Revenge Review Notes

Jack and his sea glass necklace was adorable, and Amanda does not deserve him. You wish your future husband-to-be was that romantic, right?

A Deadly Duo

Victoria being nice to Emily is… so strange! It’s like a cat walking on two legs!

What would you give this episode? I’m in a particularly good mood and see no reason not to give it a solid B+. I really loved Nolan in this episode, even though he didn’t have a ton of scenes. But such is the power of the Nolan!
