Who needs a stiff drink after watching the latest Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Monday night? The episode may have been dubbed, “A Night of a Thousand Surprises”, but it should have been called “Night of a Thousand DRAMAS.”
It was the opening of SUR for Lisa Vanderpump, but the spotlight was shifted to about a million freaking things.
Brandi Glanville was surprised to see… how do I even type this, the woman who dated her husband while he was still married to her. The girl was a waitress at Lisa’s event, and was asked to leave in a very polite way.
Taylor Armstrong decided this was a good time to show up with her psychiatrist to confront all of the women and tell them what was going on with her. She explained that she’d been trying to save her marriage because she’d felt worthless and had been acting out. The final straw was a fight that turned so abusive it left her with a black eye. Kim Richards was not present for this. Lisa was very quiet and concerned.
Adrienne Maloof was very business-like, still holding a grudge that Camille Grammer had been hit with a possible law suit. Instead of wanting to warm up to Taylor, Adrienne took a hard line of not wanting to forgive her for being so weak. Because of who Adrienne is and what her life is like, it has long appeared that she is a businesswoman first before she’s a friend or a wife. (Hopefully she’s also a Mom first, but we’ve never seen her interacting with her kids – which is actually a good sign that she’s protecting them.)
Former houseguest and terrible human, Cedric Martinez, showed up – uninvited. He left, but not before trying to gain unofficial acceptance by getting all of the other houewives to give him air kisses. It was super awkward. It seemed like every kiss was a betrayal to Lisa, although Lisa didn’t say anything about that. Brandi is actually friends with Cedric, I think.
Kim Richards showed up with her boyfriend, Ken Blumenfeld. She finally revealed to Kyle Richards that she was goin got leave Ken for being controlling and mean. She also revealed she was three months late on her period and still hadn’t taken a test. Later, Kim locked herself in the bathroom and refused to come out for quite a long time.
There was more drama that the show didn’t reveal. (Where was the time for it all, really?) Brandi Glanville attended the party with Jennifer Gimenez, who is a counselor that helps addicts. While all we saw of this dark haired woman was her standing at the bathroom door saying she needed to use the facilities, a lot more went on. She talked to Wetpaint Entertainment and revealed she’d actually talked with Kim that night and reached out, giving her numbers and saying she’d help her anytime Kim was ready.
Next week is the season finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo.
