I’ll be damned if Ezra is on the A team! Ian Harding has a very trustworthy face!
We always read between the lines! Here’s how we play this PLL game. In bold, is the text released by ABC Family. And below that? An interpretation of what they’re really saying, and what to expect. We encourage you to play along by commenting with your thoughts.
A NEW CLUE COULD LEAD THE LIARS DOWN THE WRONG PATH
Oh, like we haven’t had red herrings before? That could describe every single episode ever!
The Liars are on hunt, but where that leads them is a surprise to all in “The Remains of the ‘A’,” an all new episode of ABC Family’s hit original series “Pretty Little Liars,” airing Tuesday, July 17th (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT).
Again, I hate to put a fine point on it (but I am totally going to), but in what episode have the liars not been on the hunt for clues? The entire show is usually all about how we have these four Harriet the Spys’ who also date and go to school! Sometime I’d love to see Spencer wear a blazer with a very on-the-nose magnifying glass patch on it. Or, or! She could adopt a bloodhound! And name it Sherlock.
After getting a major clue from Garrett, Hanna and Spencer set out on their separate missions. Hanna sees a perfect opportunity to catch “A” or to at least see who is helping Garrett out. But her perfect plan starts to quickly unravel, leaving Hanna frustrated and desperate. Spencer tries to figure out the meaning of the clue and enlists Jason’s help in the search.
So Jason is back in the picture? It’s doubtful there will be any weird Aria/Jason tension in this episode, but knowing he’s kind of (but not really) her brother may leave Spencer feeling frazzled. I get the sense she feels a sense of obligation and guilt because her family has shoved him away so much and she knows that was wrong. But it’s not up to her to fix the problem. And I’m not even entirely sure she can trust Jason. He’s shady. No one has such perfect swoopy hair without secretly doing all sorts of things to their hair! (I bet he says it’s natural. Psh.)
Meanwhile, Emily gets another flashback from “that night” which leads her to a surprising suspect and Aria starts to question Ezra’s sudden influx of cash.
Ooooh, dramatic flashbacks? Hopefully it’s not too misleading. But who could the suspect be? It sounds like it’s someone they know, but who isn’t close to Emily. In fact, the next part all but says it… is Ezra going to be painted as a guilty party? (Ezra may be many things, but he’s never seem to be associated with the A team, and I’d be shocked if that ever were the case. Ezra is Aria’s safe haven from the A madness.)
