Next Monday a new episode of Nurse Jackie airs, and it happens to have been my absolute frickin’ favorite of the season (yes, I already got to see them all – I am lucky but I am also using my powers for good!). In “Silly String” there are complications going on with Jackie and Eddie as well as O’Hara and her “old friend” Sarah. Coop even finds a way to greatly insult a donor to the hospital in an unthinkable way. The reason I love this episode the most? Actress Merritt Wever as Zoey was PERFECT. Zoey takes up the task of being like James Bond, and she is adorable. This is a TV character I would love having in my day-to-day life.
Zoey is like an anime figure…an anime cat! Those big eyes, you know? And she’s fiesty and sassy but also timid with fake bravado sometimes. But she likes to fully commit to projects, no matter what. This can sometimes get her in trouble. Also, when she talks to herself as hypothetically explaining a situation to someone she’s afraid of? Adoooorable. Do not miss this episode. And if you haven’t started watching Nurse Jackie yet, give this episode a chance to sway your heart into TV bliss.
JACKIE’S SHOT OF REALITY : Guest Star Julia Ormond Receives A Tetanus Shot To Remember! Jackie (Edie Falco) finds herself in yet another self-inflicted dilemma as her request to Eddie (Paul Schulze) to stop hanging out with Kevin (Dominic Fumusa) goes unheeded. Meanwhile, Jackie becomes embroiled in Dr. O’Hara’s (Eve Best) friendship with her old friend Sarah (Julia Ormond). As her poorly constructed world of lies and rationalizations begins to show signs of weakening, how long will Jackie be able to juggle family, work and her addiction?
NURSE JACKIE airs Monday nights at 10:00 pm ET/PT on SHOWTIME.
