New ABC Shows You Should Watch this Fall: Pan Am, Revenge, Once Upon a Time, more
| September 12, 2011 at 8:02 AM EDTWhile reviewing the Castle Season 3 DVD there were several promos for fellow ABC network shows. Because among the established shows (like Castle, Cougar Town, The Middle, Dancing with the Stars, Modern Family, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Body of Proof) that we already love, there are plenty of new shows coming to the network. Some might not work, but there are some I’m really rooting for. Here’s my expert TV Guru advice on what you should watch for:
Charlie’s Angels – Yup, it’s a reboot. Minka Kelly, silly outfits, and all sorts of hijinks. I don’t expect this show to be good. But I do expect to tune in anyway. Why? Curiosity.
Revenge – This is another show that might end up a little more cheesy than I’d want it to be, but am going to watch no matter what. It reminds me of Point Pleasant with the tiniest dollop of Harper’s Island and The Starter Wife.
Pan Am – You say “Christina Ricci” and I’m very much on board. Not to mention that I happen to love the 60’s (and 60’s fashion) and think that even though flight attendants were part of a very sexist culture they were still fun. Hey, I watched Gone with the Wind even though I oppose slavery and have tons of white guilt.
Once Upon a Time – Fairytales are the new vampires! And you get Ginnifer Goodwin!
Suburgatory – This is going to be a comedy and I have good feelings that it’s good to be an excellent one.
What I’m passing on: Scandal, Last Man Standing, Man Up
