VH1 has yanked all remaining episode of “Megan Wants a Millionaire” now that one of the finalist Ryan Alexander Jenkins has been cited as a “person of interest” for the murder of model Jasmine Fiore, whose body was found inside a suitecase in a dumpster early Sunday morning in California. Jenkins is thought to be heading to Canada, which is where he is from.
“Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on ‘Megan Wants a Millionaire,’ an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1. The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts go out to the victim’s family.”
I love how VH1 wants to be sure we know that they didn’t produce “Megan Wants a Millionaire,” they just bought it and aired it. “We didn’t cast this crazypants killer! It wasn’t us! It was 51 Minds!”
The other bump in the road for VH1 is whether to air the third installment of “I Love Money.” Jenkins was a contestant on that and is rumored to be the $250,000 winner.
