SMASH starlet Megan Hilty wants to mix genres for her first album
| March 31, 2012 at 7:41 PM EDTSmash (NBC) starlet Megan Hilty has scored her very first record deal.
Hilty, who has both Broadway and NBC acting chops under her belt, told Life & Style Magazine that she has landed a record deal with Sony. “I just got my first record contract with Sony, so we just started doing demo music this week. I’m totally stoked.” Hilty added, “It’s been so many dreams coming true for me!”
So, what will Hilty’s record sound like? There will be a mix of original content with covers. And the sound will mix jazz and R&B. Hilty says, “It will have our own flavor to it.” Sounds like she’s trying to create her own genre! But we’re interested in hearing the results.
We haven’t been loving Smash entirely. But NBC loves it enough to have ordeed Smash: season 2. Get ready for Julia (Debra Messing) to keep annoying us all!
