Matthew Morrison (Glee) Gets Harassed

We love Glee and we love Matthew Morrison who plays Will Schuester on the show. Andrew Goldman of Elle Magazine apparently doesn’t love Glee, Morrison, and the debate is still out on if he hates puppies, ice cream and candy too! Seriously. I just read the beginning of the interview Goldman had with Morrison, and the questions were insulting. It starts out with Goldman wrongly assuming Morrison is gay and goes downhill from there.
It does not seem like it was a harmless mistake that Goldman made. If you’re not sure about something, you ask off the record (or a PR person!) – or don’t ask at all. You don’t ask, justify your asking, and then grill the person as though they were lying (which is what it seems he does when he asks Morrison “What was the first moment you realized you were a heterosexual being?”)

MATTHEW MORRISON: I’m not gay.
ELLE: I had indeed read in various places that you’re straight, but in light of the circumstantial evidence, I wasn’t sure.
MM: I grew up singing and dancing, so people have been calling me gay since fifth grade. I’ve heard everything you could possibly hear about it. But I do love gay people, so I’m not going to act like I was insulted or angry about it.

No one wants an enraged Kourtney! But yea…this was…ridiculous. Horrible, horrible interview. And Matt was so polite and nice.

This is absolutely ridiculous. You can’t just assume someone’s gay because of what they do. this guy needs to get a grip of his life and stop hating on others because they’re doing better than he is. He wouldn’t like to be getting called gay would he?

I’m glad to see not too many people are commenting on this, cos it would basically mean that this Andrew Goldman douchebag isnt getting the attention he was crying for by hating on other people.
But yeah, I am ashamed to say I upped the counter on the article by reading the first three questions, and was sickened.

That guy needs to get a life. Glee is an AWESOME show and just because he doesnt like it means that its the “gayest show on tv”. honestly, the gayest show on tv wouldnt pick up 4 Academy Award nominations and Matt being one of them.

Hi Iris, I’m a big Glee fan, and I agree that this interview was ridiculous. However, you should get your facts straight. The “gayest show on tv” line was the headline of a Rolling Stone article about how much they like the show. He didn’t come up with it himself. Also, Glee, Matt, Jane and Lea were all nominated for Golden Globe Awards. They don’t give Academy Awards for television, only movies.

While I concur that Andrew Goldman is a total dipwad for doing that to Matthew, I am choosing to focus on the positive. Bless Matthew’s heart for taking the high road and saying he is not offended or mad about it. I respect Matthew even more, and his is down right HOT, too.
