The New La Femme Nikita is Exotic and Girl Crush-Worthy

Maggie Q looks perfect for the role.
I totally missed that The CW is remaking the TV series La Femme Nikita. Wow. I never watched it because it seemed so much like ALIAS and I was already SO invested in that by the time I heard about Nikita. If you’re interested in the TV series that was based on the book, all five seasons are on TheWB.com. Peta Wilson played Nikita in that, and the Interwebs is saying that Maggie Q has been taped to play the new Nikita. I don’t recognize her, but apparently she was in Mission Impossible 3 and Live Free or Die Hard – movies I purposefully missed in favor of movies about people who have been reincarnated into dogs their family coincidentally adopts. But Maggie Q looks gorgeous, and I’m always a fan of powerful heroines starring in movies or TV. So, I’ll give it a chance!
The Hollywood Reporter has the details: The CW pilot’s premise of a new Nikita being trained to replace the original one after she goes rogue gave creator Craig Silverstein an opportunity to break the stereotype, and he wrote the lead as “beautiful and exotic.”

That’s awesome. She’s definitely perfect for the role.
Don’t forget her work in Balls of Fury!

With her martial arts and the fighting skills, Maggie Q is definitely a right choice for the Nikita role. Plus, with her looks, she will fit perfectly for the role.

Man! I’m a big fan of La Femme Nikita, but I’m pretty unsure about this Spin Off (You can’t call it a remake, since it takes course after Nikita’s gone away).
I don’t like Alias, Jennifer Garner has made lots of Romantic Comedies (and she still does) to take her seriously as a Spy or any other role, she’s not convincing.
LFN was clever, darker, and deeper than any other show I’ve seen, seems hard to believe that this Spin Off will portrait all that La Femme Nikita was all about.
P.S: Her Name Is Peta , no Petra.

Heh, thanks Ben – I typed her named correctly now. Oops!
Jennifer Garner did ALIAS before all of her rom com’s – give it a chance. It’s by J.J of LOST! I think you’d like it. She’s a convincing bitch. I swear!

Horrible. Leave good shows alone, stop making remakes because you don’t have any original ideas. This show will never work without Peta Wilson (who really was girl-crush worthy!!) and Roy Dupuis. Noway, nohow!! Give it up now.

“I never watched it because it seemed so much like ALIAS..”
What? This show was THE REASON Alias even existed.

Okay, valid point. But if you watched ALIAS first, before knowing about this show – you would have already gotten invested with a CIA show. And there are only CIA spy shows I wanna watch at once.

I don’t think anyone who has watch LFN first would spend 5 minutes watching ALIAS.
I can’t help it, I can’t stand that show!
I’ve watch it some time ago, and all I remember was Sydney telling her boyfriend she was a CIA agent, so the CIA sent their men to kill him, all I thought at that time was “How LAME Is she!!!”
I’m telling all this in friendly way, I don’t want to start a War, I know Jessica like Alias.

It’s okay, Ben – we appreciate comments and friendly discussions! And oh man, have you heard about the two new spy shows coming out? Undercovers and Covert Operations. NBC/USA.

They’ll have to be good otherwise I’ll be bitchin’ about them!
Just Joking. =D
