Maggie Grace LOST Scoop (Did We Miss Her First Small Cameo?)

Maggie Grace is back to her blonde hair, and ready for LOST. From maggie-grace.net
We haven’t seen much of Maggie Grace. After being Shannon Rutherford on LOST in 2004, she’s done four movies. Three of them I’ve seen: Suburban Girl (a let-down, if you aren’t geeky for Sarah Michelle Gellar and the art of writing), Taken (creepy, but decent enough – although the Kristen Bell movie Spartan is a LOT better and similar-enough in tone/plot) and The Jane Austen Book Club (a nice movie if you have nothing else to watch). Now in 2010 there are four new projects about to be released with her. That’s maybe not a coincidence as she’s getting her final LOST huzzah on what is the final season of LOST.
We’ve speculated that Grace would appear, but were sad to see that she wasn’t in the first episode of this season alongside her brother Boone (Ian Somerhalder). But that seemed to have been because of conflicting schedules. I think they’ll work that into the Grace plot, about how she didn’t come back from Australia with Boone right away as in the original pilot.
EW.com has confirmed that they’ve received solid word from executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse that Maggie Grace will be back. She’s listed as being in the episode “What Kate Does” but I can’t recall her at all – did I miss her? At any rate, it seems she’ll be back in a bigger way.
“We’re really excited about having her back on the show,” says Cuse, “and we have a good story for her.” The producers would not specify how many episodes she would appear in. An original cast member, Grace exited the show in season 2 when her character — the spoiled stepsister of Boone — was killed off, though she did resurface in a season 3 episode. Harold Perrineau, Cynthia Watros, and Rebecca Mader are among the other dearly departed who will guest-star in Lost’s sixth and final season.
I would have been a little heartbroken if there was no Shannon in LOST season 6. Yet, given that Somerhalder is busy shooting The Vampire Diaries up in Vancouver, it might be possible that they won’t have scenes together. Woe! The pair was always a little like Katherine and Sebastian on Cruel Intentions, only less dirty and more sweet. Dirty, sweet, scenes filmed in frickin’ Alabama – I don’t care, I just want some Shannon/Boone! And if I wasn’t so deadly tired I would fully search out some fanfic to support my habit.
