LOST Happily Ever After Review (Live Blogging)

Live blogging of “Happy Ever After” with spoilers are under the jump!

• I feel so horrible for Desmond. He went CRAZY on Widmore, and you can’t blame him.
• I think it’s funny how the guy called the generator a “genny”.
• How long do you suppose Desmond was in a hospital, and how heartless is Widmore?
• I love the mythology on Lost more than the science, but both are cool.
• That guy is burned to a crispy crisp. They have no safety precautions!
• I used to think the epic fight was between Widmore and Ben, but now it seems like it’s Widmore and the Man in Black. Weird? Inconsistent?
• Why did Jin just STAND there while they strapped Desmond to a chair?
• The squooshy lever looked cool.
• Leave Desmond alooone!
• Okay, now we’re in Desmond’s flash sideways.
• Claire’s hair isn’t  horrible – nice.
• Desmond was always psychic. He knew Claire’s baby would be a boy.
• It’s that guy! You know the guy. That guy. “George”. The dude from Hackers. Who met his doom on a plane in that movie.
• @Negro_Joe: I’m just a random Scottsmen you’ve just met at the airport. Care for a ride pregnant Aussie?
• @kellyw15 The fate of the world rests with an electromagnet run by a generator from 1973? Good to know.
• @tanya_roth Is it possible that flash-sideways and island timeline are connected, but we just don’t know the true connection yet?
• Looks like many Twitter #Lost fans are all in agreement that we don’t care about the flash sideways.
• Sailboat!
• Driveshaft! Mentioning Charlie! WILL CHARLIE BE HERE? Desmond and Charlie is EPIC.
• It’s ironic that Desmond was never free of attachments in the Lost reality we know (with Penny and his kid) but in the flash sideways he apparently is free as a bird.
• AND THERE HE IS. CHARLIE. YES. He’s as grumpy as ever! Charlie can’t die or is not afraid of death. There’s his DS ring. Yay.
• Are they reuniting Charlie and Claire?!?! Oh, good fake out with Kate! HE DOES LOVE CLAIRE FOREVER. …And when Charlie dies or is near death he can pass over and get pieces of his other life? Okay, that is cool.
• “I’ve seen something real. I’ve seen the truth.” It’s so true, Charlie!
• “The beginning of everything great.” Though it’s Charlie talking about his bands first single on the show, I bet that’s how Dominic feels about Lost season one.
• YOU ALL EVERYBODY. Driveshaft, yea!
• Charlie likes to swim! And drown. This is just like in the episode where Charlie drowns and Desmond tries to save him but h e’s too late…. And the hand. And “Not Pennys Boat” OMG! They both know! Or someone knows. I can’t figure out if either of them knows.
• Why are they calling two hours of “Brothers & Sisters” the “Brothers & Sisters movie”? It’s not a movie, it’s two hours of TV.
• If ABC’s Happy Town is as fun a guilty pleasure as Harper’s Island, I’m in.
• If Widmore is Des’s employer, did he ever meet Penny?
• A BUTTON. Desmond doesn’t like buttons. He’s going into a “hatch”. AND NUMBERS. What numbers were there? The same noise as when the numbers would flip!
• If Desmond did know Penny in this reality, he would have recognized her in his “visions”. Hmm.
• Did they try to probe Charlie? He’s running like a mad man! Causing chaos!
• So Charlie knows something is wrong. But none of the other characters in the side flashes have felt anything wrong. Weird.
• @debockels “All that matters is that we felt it.” How many times are nerds going to use that line to get laid?
• @used_songs #lost do all the dead ones know?
• @jnavarr There’s Penny! Someone tell Desmond she’s on Thursday. #Lost
• Who is Widmore’s wife gonna be? …Oooh! Eloise! Duh, they were in love in the episode we saw of their younger selves. It’s almost romantic. FYI, she is Daniel Faraday’s Mom. And I’m glad he kept playing piano.
• A violation, Eloise? She knows something for sure. So everyone has perfect lives, and has attained the thing they want most… but no one is truly happy. What did Eloise do?
• “Ready for what?” We’d like to know!
• I’m not sure why so many people are confused about this episode. It’s worth mentioning that this entire episode seems to be the flash sideways, though. Luckily it does seem to pertain to the reality we already know – so it’s worth watching.
• #V looks so cheesy and I bet it’s had bad ratings which is why Lost is going a mere two minutes overtime just to make people stay watching this station. Tricky.
• Everyone is in love in this episode. Daniel saw Charlotte in this flash sideways. “It was like I already loved her. And that’s when things got weird.”
• Daniel always has answers. “What if this isn’t supposed to be our life? What if we had some other life, but for some reason we changed things?”
• Daniel always wants to set off bombs, man.
• Penny IS Widmores daughter. Interesting. And now Daniel is psychic?
• Oooh Penny running is just like Desmond running and Jack running into him.
• Oooooh, crap. Now we’re back to the other reality. Desmond is okay. He was only unconscious for a few seconds. And after seeing what he saw, Desmond is on board with Widmore.
• Of course, Sayid is here to make trouble!
• What is awesome is that in the flash sideways, Desmond fainted when the other Des woke up. They are connected. And Penny can feel the undertow of remembering Desmond.
• Penny just made “sweaty mess” sound very posh.
• Okay, the episode was only one minute over the hour, so I’m watching Parenthood now. The next Lost episode with Hurley looks great.
