In Life Unexpected “Parents Unemployed” both Cate and Baze are going on job interviews. But Lux has no room to mock, because she’s not doing so well with her grades in school. In an exciting guest star role, Emma Caulfield (Anya from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will appear!

I know I shouldn’t root for Baze to be with anyone but Cate, but I seriously wouldn’t mind a lot of Emma Caulfield on Life Unexpected for season 2. She’s magnificent. Did you see her under-the-radar movie TiMER? You must! IT fuses romance and futuristic elements in a very Sex and the City way!

Life Unexpected “Parents Unemployed” Episode Synopsis: (TV-PG, D) (HDTV) (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) CATE AND BAZE LOOK FOR NEW JOBS — When Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Baze (Kristoffer Polaha) are summoned to the principal’s office at Lux’s (Britt Robertson) school, they are shocked to learn that Lux is failing and must make a drastic improvement in her grades or risk being kicked out. Meanwhile, after having the rug pulled out from under her at work, Cate starts the difficult process of looking for her next job, and in an effort to be a grown up, Baze decides to interview for a position at his father’s firm. Emma Caulfield (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) guest stars as a woman who works for Baze’s father. Austin Basis also stars. Jerry Levine directed the episode written by Patti Carr & Lara Olsen (Life Unexpected season 2 episode 2.)
