The season three premiere of Leverage starts on June 20th at 9 p.m. ET/PT. I was lucky enough to already see the two back-t0-back episodes that will kick this series of Leverage off at a running start. You guys know that Nate (Timothy Hutton) was sent to jail in the season two finale, but you also are smart enough to know that it’s hard to have a season where one cast member is stuck there. So, they gotta get him out. That is, if Nate even wants to leave. Maybe jail is like a spa to him? I’m not telling! Nate had gone to jail rather than give up his team to Sterling, so they WANT to help him. They figure out a way to get him free, and he doesn’t want to do it. So we gotta do it Prison Break style once Nate actual enters this prison. A corrupt, evil, horrible prison! Not that I ever thought they were nice.Leave it to Nate to find a client WHEREVER he goes, even in there. The client is played by Edwin Hodge – older brother to Aldis Hodge aka Hardison.
Within the episode’s several carefully orchestrated plans, we are afforded a look at Parker (Beth Riesgraf) hanging upside down like a bat – and loving it. We are also allowed to see Nate and Sophie (Gina Bellman) dubbed to look like a Spanish soap opera. And yes, it’s amazing. You would easily watch that show, too! You may not understand the words, but the emotion and passion was clear! You’ll also get to see Hardison (Aldis Hodge) giving a good English accent. The enthusiasm of the team to collaborate and work against their competition comes in handy, especially when they encounter a “shadowy intelligence agent know only as ‘The Italian'” who is played by Elisabetta Canalis. Is that a whiff of blackmail you smell? I think it is.
The episodes you’ll see for the season three premiere are “The Jailhouse Job” and “The Reunion Job”.
