If you dropped the ball and missed some episodes of Leverage season 3, don’t tell anyone. Just hurry up and get your copy of Leverage season 3 on DVD when it is released on June 7th (Paramount Home Entertainment.)
This explosive series of master thievery and sneaking stars Timothy Hutton, Gina Bellman, Christian Kane, Aldis Hodge and Beth Riesgraf. I’m never left disappointed by an episode, as the sneaky plots are rewarding to figure out, and the cast has amazing “family” style chemistry. (Except for the couples who are hooking up, ’cause that’d just be weird.)
The Leverage season 3 DVD special features:
On Set with Colton and Aboud: The New Writers of Leverage: An incredibly funny piece, for sure. Probably my favorite special feature, in fact.
Leverage: What Does a Producer Do?: It’s tongue in cheek at first, but then they get down to the brass tacks of giving you information. It’s a big job, and it’s hard to make an easy list of the responsibilities. I’m a control freak, so this might be an ideal job for me if I could deal with that kind of stress.
Inside the Leverage Writers’ Room: See the behind the scenes of the actual writer’s room, and interviews with the people involved. They also talk about their process for setting up stories. If you write fanfic, you might find this especially interesting and helpful.
Deleted Scenes: They’re matched up on discs with the episode they were deleted from, which is always a nice touch. The bigger a fan you are, the more you’ll love these. There are deleted scenes for: “The Scherherazade Job” “The Studio Job” “The Gone-Fishin’ Job” and “The Big Bang Job.”
Behind the Scenes: Marc Roskin and Mark Franco take us through two sequences and talk about where they were shot, not to mention the obstacles of shooting it. Remember the pool Hardison (Aldis Hodge) falls into? He really did fall into the pool while handcuffed to a chair – that’s crazy! Shooting in water has got to be one of the most difficult things to do. Roskin and Franco also talk about the gunfight sequence with Christian Kane (doing all of his own stunts.) You gotta admit, it looked cool. And there were only two days to shoot the entire thing.
