Ugh. This is gross. Kevin Skinner won “America’s Got Talent” because he’s poor and he’s middle America and people are idiots. Seriously. He can’t carry a tune. And it’s not because I’m a stuck-up East Coast snob or don’t like Country music. I love Country music and am a born & bred Iowan.
Kevin Skinner sucks and you know it. I can’t believe he won.

His first song was very good.. and downhill from there. Note. I am a country music fan as well as an opera fan.

THat america voted for this average talent instead of her.. proves that america does NOT have taste.
Nice guy. but he sucked in comparison to the final 10.

Kevin sucked and that is all there is too it. He was good in the audition and sort of on key during the second performance. However, the finales were a joke as far as I am concerned. He was off key, off beat and out classed. It is a shame that this man one. But you could also see it coming with Pierce actually cheering him on after his second performance. He should not be the winner and I wish there was a way to check the actual numbers on these shows run by Simon. It was proven earlier in the season that the producers are manipulating the performances; I would not put it past them to manipulate the votes.

Kevin skinner was the worst person left in the competition. People only voted for him because they knew that he could not make it anywhere else and they felt sorry for him. His last performance made my ears bleed, it was so winy and off key. He is so not the type to do well in vagas, (neither was Barbera, but that was because she was way better than just some normal Vegas strip act)

America has voted! Perhaps this is why we are in the dismal shape were in as a nation. Collectively, we are a dense bunch. People can’t see that Kevin’s first performance was a fluke and that their elected officials are working for someone else and not “WE THE PEOPLE”. We believe what we want to believe and won’t let the truth get in the way. Sorry for bringing politics into this but, it is what it is. Honestly, I was hoping for Kevin to find that voice he audtioned with but it didn’t return. Shame on you Pierce. Shame on you America!

I don’t know what everybody is getting so upset about. Kevin Skinner was very bad but America didn’t have much to do with it. I’m sure that the producers do look at the percentages of the voting but all they do is use that to make their decisions on who will go up with whom. The people are coming with talent but it’s really up to who the producers of the show to put together the groups of acts that they think will bring in the biggest viewer audience at home to watch with. They are selling commercials remember. Do you actual think that they are looking for America’s next big act? No way. It’s about the money. It’s just like any of these other shows like this. If you want to make yourself happy the next time, don’t watch and or don’t vote. It’s a waste of your time. If you do watch, just watch for the entertainment value and don’t take it serious because they don’t. There are all about the money. Really.

Kent J, if you were an “opera fan” as you say, you would know that great operatic singers show the emotion of the songs, though the general public may not understand the words being sung. Yet Barbara Padilla sings a song about drowning herself, and the only emotion i got was the thought of her confidence of winning a cool million. If you understood the words, the judges would say that her performance wasn’t believable. I don’t think she will make it that far in opera, but i’m sure mr cowell will make a tidy profit from an album or two.

What a shock!!! Cannot believe that America voted for him to win!!! He could not even sing and his last performance was horrible! Barbara, the 3 tenors, Steven, or the top percussion put him to shame…I cannot watch this show ever again as I was so disappointed and think it totally unfair!

WTF… Kevin Skinner sucks and I hope he miserably fails in Vegas. What was the “country” thinking? NOTHING because their votes didn’t choose this douchebag. PRODUCERS – You guys fucked Arcadian Broad with HSM3 music and he mentioned it wasn’t his choice, boom- GONE! Recycled Percussion, Fab Five, Barbara Padilla, or Grandma Lee should have won. Voices of Glory? Who the fuck is going to Vegas to hear gospel singing, and seriously, Lawrence? Go to American Idol and get rejected there. Drew Stevens wasnt that good but oh so cute!

Kevin has no talent except his life is sad. Who would pay money to see such non talent? I don’t know what voters are doing; maybe voting for underdog or something. this sucks, Kevin sucks (not personally, I’m sure he’s nice and I wish him the best BUT REALLY!!) THIS IS THE FAULT OF VOTERS who don’t recognize talent when they see it. would YOU pay the $50 or whatever it will be to see this sucky no personality????? if so then I need money to live you can help me with. and I’ll sing better and look better for u then him.

I have to agree! AMERICA’S GOT TONE DEAFNESS!!!!! This was the first season I actually watched the whole season, and it was my last. Those judges have lost all credibility with me #1, He shouldn’t have made it past the first audition. And since he did should’ve been put out after his 2nd song.
All those poor talented people. You gotta feel sorry for them. Hopefully they will get the REAL chance they deserve.

One Hit Wonder!!! That’s what Skinner was after his Garth Brooks song. Every song after that was pathetic, off pitch and just horrid. Absolutely no Vegas showmanship whatsoever, he just stood there and sung. Recycled Percussion should have won hands down, they had it all with creativity, lights and Vegas pizzaz. Skinner can take his Mil and disappear.

You ever see how Pierce blasts performers for being a little off key (ie.’At this point in the competition, you can’t be a little off. Go home and try again next time’). Then Kevin gets up there and Pierce says ‘that’s the best thing I’ve heard all night!’ WHAT???
The only reason anyone would go see him is to see just how much he sux. Go back to singin’ to your chickens boy.

Really? REALLY? This country hick wins just because he’s a chicken catcher? That’s really all it comes down to. Let’s all feel sorry for the dumbass who can’t hold a decent living. People seem to forget that the winner gets a show in Vegas, not a short-term record deal. The only real winner that’s come from this show is that puppet guy, and I think he was the first season. This is like an instant replay of last year when Nuttin’ but Stringz got robbed, and those 2 opera dudes were left. Talk about a lack of diversity, which the judges were ironically stressing this season. Honestly, Recycled Percussion was diversity, creativity, talent, and most importantly, VEGAS. I’ll watch the auditions, but after that, pssssh. Not worth the frustration.

Now don’t get me worng, I liked kevin after his first performance and his obvious likability! Unfortunately, this was nowhere near the best act available. This is the first time I have ever watched a reality show of this kind. I have never watched a full episode of american idol, the fat-chelor, survivor or anything of the such! At 30yrs old and keeping busy I never had time but decided to watch americas got talent! I watched every episode thanks to DVR and now I want my time back! I won’t be watching the show again after this season after what just transpired! Either the show is rigged or america is really juyst that stupid! You know, it’s both! A money hungry show that knows what to do for rating and to create buzz good or bad and america is full of the dumbest people on earth. How does a guy with very little singing skill and very little talent at that, beat recycled percussion for one, the fab 5, the gay tenors or most importantly BARBARA PADILLA! I’m not a opera or coyuntry fan but I know talent when I see it! Barbara, I’m so sorry that you weren’t the one the producers chose to win. I guess had you been a one armed midget, african american, one eyed, peg-legged, no haired born to a llama you might have made more ratings, but at least then you wouldn’t have to be talented! Americas Got f-ing stupid!

I just have to tell you all that are hating on Kevin that he is a RAW TALENT.. EVER HEARD OF THAT?? He did not SUCK as you keep saying.. We will see who sucks when he is a little more polished. You take a little raw talent and you cultivate it.. and he is not a POOR COUNTRY BOY.. Living in the same town as Kevin, I gotta tell you that all of you are judgmental and must be miserable in your own lives and that is why you keep bashing someone that deserves this shot with his music. As the judges said, Kevin has a rare ability to move an audience emotionally and America agreed with that, or your precious opera singing chick would have won. She was SO SURE that she had it, and America simply isn’t into opera. As for being rigged, we may be a small town, but I GUARANTEE you that our area put through the MOST votes and we VOTED KEVIN THE WINNER!

I am glad that in America we are entitled to our own opinions, and I gotta say, apparently America wanted to see a country singer win AGT and if you guys bashing him has any sense, you would see that you are looking at a superstar in the making.. Yeah he did not do well at ALL on teh finale song, but it was a poor choice. Kevin is a country singer, not rock. You gotta think, what kind of pressure do these contestants feel while performing live? I would LOVE to hear some of you on there trying to sing your heart out. If you go to YouTube and search BentLemon you will find some vocals of Kevin’s from a couple years ago.. this man has been singing for a long time, and he wouldn’t have already had interest from Nashville if he couldn’t carry a tune. And Nashville isn’t full of idiots now is it?

Nope Angel G, your wrong, HE F-ING SUCKS ASS. As for recycled percussion, they sucked too. I have already seen them in Vegas when they were called Blue Man Group. Padilla was good, so was Beaman. Grandma Lee got old real quick with the same old “I wanna fuck Piers” jokes. Tenors were boring and Voices of Glory were lame.
As for the show in general, I am done with it. It seems that only singers ever go anywhere on the show and we already have Idol so why do they even allow singers on Talent?
Acrodunk, Fab 5, Horatio, Padilla, Beaman and a couple others should have been the top acts.

America didn’t vote based on talent it was based on race. Barbara Padilla didn’t win because she is a Latina. Kevin Skinner is your typical white male and they were not about to let someone who is a born foreigner win. This is America at it’s unimaginative typical best. Mediocrity.
Either way Barbara Padilla will do very well for herself. I gave her all my 10 votes online.

I have watched America’s Got Talent since the very first season, and this season was great, until the final night. I had just told my wife that very day, that I would quit watching the show if they let Kevin Skinner win, and guess what.. he won.. I couldn’t believe it!!! It’s obvious that this one was rigged. You can tell because they kept talking all season about how anyone can come from anywhere and win, and now they have their poster boy for the show. Don’t get me wrong, Kevin did good on his first song, but geezz.. did anyone actually listen to him singing the Aerosmith song? I’m sorry, but no way he should have won and I’m a huge country music fan. I was actually surprised he even made the top 5, much less win… I hope him much success though and can get better, but I’m done with the show.

The show has got to be rigged! I can’t believe that America is THAT stupid to vote for a guy who can’t even carry a tune over the real talent we saw on the show.
I felt sorry for the guy when I watched his pitiful performance on Conan O’Brian. No way in hell does Kevin Skinner have any future in the music industry. As someone said, maybe the county fair circuit, but who’d pay to hear him in Vegas?

and please….lets face it… he is not a chicken chaser, no one chases chickens. He is a chicken killer. ICK That is why he comes off with no personality because who can have feelings and personality and spend day after day hanging chickens?
I am no better because I eat them and really I have no idea what I am talking about but I do think my husband can sing better than Kevin Skinner and I know DREW sang better and Lawrence did too.
Barbara had a nice voice but I had NO idea what she was saying and I hate opera.
I am sure if you are sitting in the audience in Las Vegas in a 90 minute show of Kevin Skinner singing it will feel like “will Tomorrow Never Come?”

I don’t think Kevin won, it makes no sense. I think it was rigged. For Weeks and weeks before the LIVE show started all we saw on TV was promos of the chicken killer over and over. He was picked before the LIVE show even started.
I tried from 10pm until 5am to vote and got busy signals on Drew, Texas Tenor, and Lawrence, over and over and over.
I NEVER got thru on any of those 3.
Did Kevin Skinner fans cheat and use their votes on Kevin and then keep calling in on the others tying up the lines knowing their votes would not count?
I watched Kevin Skinner on Conan and thought how awful it would be to be one of the talented people who lost having to watch that chicken killer nasal and whine on Conan.
I confess I voted for Kevin after his 2nd song because I did like him a little and my mom liked him but I KNOW it had to be rigged because his 3rd song sucked really, really, bad. BAD, BAD. And Piers would trash everyone but him. You could tell David Hoff was a little worried that kevin was getting too sucky. I think Kevin didn’t want to win because how could he suck so bad?

This man may not be the greatest voice but he certainly deserved to win AGT contest, America, you got it right! He will go on to have a great career and he is a down home country good guy whose star has risen – looking forward to great things from this man, way to go Kevin! Enjoyed each and every song you performed and can’t wait to buy your music.

Hey ya’ll haters need to shut the hell up and just chill. Kevin won no matter who had the best talent and that can’t be undone. Yes I also believe the show to be rigged. They repeatedly “hiped” him up on the promos for the show. Yes his performances were not polished and sometimes down right off! But it wasn’t Kevin that said, “Hey judges portray me as a good ol boy who sits around pickin’ and a grinin’ on my front porch”. The shows execs did that to stir the viewers. It made you take notice and you either liked Kevin or you didn’t. Simon Cowell will make money off not just Kevin. They are all under a contract for a period of time even if they did not win and you can bet that Barbara Padillia and Recycled Percussion along with others will be approached by other venues to perform and will profit and by contract have to share that profit with Simon.

I can’t believe you folks have you never heard the name Johnny Cash, he couldn’t sing very well either but people loved the heart he sang with. They could hear and feel the emotion, and he was legend! Kevin sings with that same heart, he means the words he sings, it made people love him, great talent or not, can you just not be happy for the little guy who made it big! My goodness we are all judges and jurys!

Kevin Skinner won.. What do you say to that? After hearing truly talented singers tear down the walls around us, suddenly we’re confronted with Kevin Skinner who cannot hold a tune, failed in the fundamentals of singing in general, and was probably the worst country singer I’ve heard in 15 years.
