Is America losing interest in the Kardashian’s?

Keeping Up with the Kardashians returned to E! last night for season 6. It had been only one week since Khloe & Lamar’s show had its’ season 1 finale. Before that it was Kourtney and Kim Take New York. Do you see a pattern? It seems Americans aren’t happy unless they can chart every waking hour of the Kardashians lives. E! lets fans be the stalkers they are too lazy to actually be.

However, the season 6 premiere of the show averaged about 2.5 million total viewers (according to The Hollywood Reporter), down from the season 5 premiere (4.7 million.) Season 5 ended with 4.1 million viewers.

So, what’s the deal? Did we decide to boycott the show, or was everyone just too busy watching The Tony’s and NBC Finals? Or did you watch last night? Let’s guess – they did something crazy?
