The braid should start on the right side of your head, then angle towards the left ear, and draped over the left shoulder. Let your front layers loose in the front.

Also consider using waxy pomade to give a dirty texture to your hair. Rub it between your fingers and apply it to the ends of your braid, and your front layers that frame your face when they come loose. Now you have The Hunger Games hair!
