Kara DioGuardi officially returning to ‘American Idol’

FOX sent out a press release today announcing Kara DioGuardi’s return to “American Idol,” making it all official-like. DioGuardi was the fourth judge, added just this past season and was very polarizing with fans. I happen to fall into the Like Kara category, even despite the fact that she helped write that horrible song for the finalists. I think Kara brought interesting and relevant things to the judging panel.

I hope they continue with the four judge format because I think if they tweaked for time constraints, it actually worked pretty well. However, if they decide to ditch one of the judges… I hope it’s Randy. I think he is the least valuable. However, as has been all over the internet as of late, Paula Abdul has not been offered any kind of deal so far and her return to “American Idol” is unlikely.
