Jessica Simpson can’t stay out of the Reality TV spotlight. (There should be an upcoming reality TV show about people addicted to appearing on reality TV shows.)
The new NBC reality TV show Fashion Star has scored Jessica Simpson. Her role? A mentor for the designers. Elle McPherson will be the host, and there will also be a panel of judges from popular retailers. If Simpson isn’t a judge, what is she? Re-read this paragraph. That’s right. She’s in the mentor role. She’s the Tim Gunn of Fashion Star. It’s time to ask yourself if you trust Jessica Simpson’s taste and guiding direction as much as NBC does.
Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios says, “With an almost billion dollar lifestyle brand under her belt she is sure to be an excellent mentor to our up-and-coming designers.”
While Simpson sells some very nice, fashionable items that have her name on them, she herself often appears as someone that style critics can’t go easy on.
What do you think about Jessica Simpson as the mentor for Fashion Star? Do you trust her judgement when it comes to style?
