Jeff Lewis and Jenni Pulos have returned to BRAVO with Interior Therapy season 2. Am I watching? You bet your size-6-but-you-lie-and-say-size-4-ass I am. That’s because I always make smart choices. (Ahem. Uh. Sure.)

In the premiere episode of season 2, we had a gay couple who lived in a ramshackled (how often do you get to use this word accurately? Score.) manor house up in some remote hills an hour out of L.A. Totally the perfect setting for a murder movie. But the only real death was that of a particularly odd “fireplace” area that got covered up – and rightly so.

The couple involved one parts ego-centric, eccentric, style-consciousness with slight madness and one parts boring, minimal support. (Gosh, now I feel kind of mean.) Oh, and there was a tiny white dog floating around in arms.

As much as we, the attentive viewers, crave drama on the screen… I felt like this episode stayed sad. The house, itself, looked sad before Jeff got there. And though Jeff improved two of the rooms in a dramatic manner, I still felt like getting through this particular episode was more work than fun. There was just a sad vibe from the couple (where a power struggle didn’t even exist any more, one of them just had no voice.)

I hope the rest of the season will be more uplifting.
