How I Met Your Mother ‘The Bro Mitzvah’ Recap – Ralph Maachio parties with Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker

Barney’s bachelor party had a lot – but it didn’t have Ted’s wife. And I’m okay with that.

In an episode about Barney’s bachelor party, I wasn’t in the least surprised that we didn’t meet Ted’s future wife. The irony would have been fun, sure. But we already know she’s going to be at the wedding. So people that are writing about how they are mad, get your melodramatic ennui together. Of course they’re going to save that slop for the season finale.

Like most (all?) good How I Met Your Mother episodes, this had a major twist. The horrible night that Barney was having had been planned on purpose. Because they couldn’t out-do his plans. So they gave him a good story, instead. And I’ll admit, it tricked me.

Barney’s Mom, ex-fiancee (Quinn) and even the Karate Kid…s, were all in on the joke.
